Guilford Child Development is in search of a Health and Nutrition Specialist.

It is the responsibility of the Health and Nutrition Specialist to carry out all Health and Nutrition objectives according to the Head Start Program Performance Standards and State licensing and sanitation guidelines.

This position will have the primary responsibility for planning, organizing, implementing and overseeing Health Services delivery for Head Start/ Early head Start children and families; conducting continuous monitoring of Health Services delivery to ensure all children receive required health services according to program mandates. In addition, the Health and Nutrition Specialist will be responsible for providing health education for children, parents/families, and staff, as well as provide support for the development of policies, procedures and practices that ensure sanitation guidelines, State licensing requirements, and Head Start Performance Standards are met.

The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in a health related field with professional experience in child health, Must have or under go a NC Department of Health and Human Services criminal record check and have a valid and current Qualification letter, Must have and expertise in public health, nursing, health education, maternal and child health and or health administration.Knowledge of HS Performance Standards is preferred. A valid driver's license.
