Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Department: Help Endure a Loss Program (HEAL)

Shift: Days

Status: Part-time/40 hours per pay

Facility: Atrium Medical Center

Provides guidance, support, information and options to families experiencing a perinatal crisis through loss, at risk pregnancy or neonatal complications.

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Licensure: Current Ohio RN Licensure

Training/Experience:

• One year experience in obstetrical/neonatal care delivery preferred.

• Knowledge and understanding of Patient/Parental Rights in the event of perinatal crisis.

Skills/Other:

• Excellent listening/communication skills

• Utilization of knowledge in care in the postmortem state.

• Possess coping mechanisms necessary in the presence of death and dying.

• Strong Customer Relations skills

Major Duties/Responsibilities

• Apply support in the event of perinatal crisis.

• Advocate and provide information/ education to families and staff.

• Serve as public relations spokesperson for the program, hospital and system.

• Plan and facilitate remembrance programs for families who have experienced perinatal loss.

• Facilitate a parent support group through regularly scheduled meetings.

• Awareness and application of appropriate/effective time management.
