Job Summary
SDCOE is recruiting for several vacancies for Head Teachers for the Juvenile Court and Community Schools (JCCS). Applicants must be currently assigned as a teacher for the JCCS for the 2024-25 school year. Under supervision of the assigned administrator, in addition to regularly assigned classroom responsibilities, provides support to the on-going development and improvement of the instructional program and professional learning for the Juvenile Court and Community Schools at the assigned site(s).

This is an internal only recruitment limited to current employees of the San Diego County Office of Education. This recruitment is limited to current, permanent teachers currently working for the JCCS and other alternative education programs.
Head Teacher opportunities currently exist for the following sites: Community Schools Independent Studies (1) East Mesa (1) East Region (1) Metro Region (3) Monarch
K thru 5 (1) Monarch
Middle School) (1) Monarch
High School (1) North Region (1) San Pasqual Academy (1) South Region (1) Special Education/Itinerant (1) Youth Transition Center (1) Education and Experience requirements: Valid California Credential(s) to meet the requirement of the assignment; and, Two years of teaching experience CCSS training and online module completion LEC certification preferred
