Head Start Team Leader

SALARY RANGE: $34,239 - $47,346

Ad Valorem - 2.40 parish property (ad valorem) tax mills are dedicated to employee salaries. The annual receipts from this tax are distributed to employees twice a year, one-half in January and one-half in June. The amount of each employee's supplement is the employee's salary multiplied by the annual percentage (computed each year based on actual tax revenues).

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education OR Child Development, Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development OR equivalent coursework

2.Experience working with preschool children and/ or Head Start experience preferred

3.Must be willing to work with staff, students, and parents

4.Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and/or crouch

5.Ability to perform other duties as assigned as part of the job assignment and requirements

6.Maturity and personality to teacher and supervise three and four-year-old children

7.Willing to receive and implement additional training with after school hours as needed
