Capital Area Head Start is seeking Pre K Counts Teachers to join in the mission of providing a comprehensive child development program designed to give children a head start in life, so they are able succeed at home, school and in the community.

The Pre K Counts Teacher is responsible for the delivery of a quality, curriculum-based educational program for children ages 3-5. Responsibilities include providing a safe classroom learning environment, individualized service plans, education and support for family members and continuity of services.

Position Details:

  • Salary starts at $37,146 annually; pay increases with further education and/or experience

  • School year work schedule with a salary paid biweekly throughout 12 months

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and valid PA Early Childhood Education Certification

  • Experience working with young children

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Successful completion of Criminal History, Child Abuse and FBI clearances

  • Valid driver's license and access to properly insured vehicle, or public transportation

  • Experience with Head Start is preferred

VIEW JOBS 10/18/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-01-16T00:00 Capital Area Head Start is seeking a full time Behavioral Health Coordinator to join in the mission of providing a comprehensive child development program designed to give children a head start in life, so they are able succeed at home, school and in the community. The Behavioral Health Coordinator is responsible for the overall implementation and coordination of social-emotional supports for children and families. This includes crisis intervention, emergency assistance, child abuse prevention, and case management for children with behavioral health issues. Minimum Requirements: * Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field or a minimum of 30 credits toward a master's degree with a graduation date within 12 months of hire * Valid license in Social Work or related mental health field or ability to obtain license with 12 months of hire or 12 months following completion of graduate program * Significant experience/knowledge working with at risk families and children ages 0-5 * Experience in emergency assistance, crisis intervention, advocacy and behavioral health support * Significant experience/knowledge in understanding the Behavioral Health system, disability services and community resource systems and programs * Proficient computer skills * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * Successful completion of Child Abuse, FBI and State clearances * Valid driver's license and access to properly insured vehicle, or public transportation Preferred Qualifications: * Participation in Head Start or Early Head Start * Supervisory experience Keystone Human Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer Keystone Human Services Harrisburg PA
