Capital Area Head Start is seeking Pre K Counts Teachers to join in the mission of providing a comprehensive child development program designed to give children a head start in life, so they are able succeed at home, school and in the community.
The Pre K Counts Teacher is responsible for the delivery of a quality, curriculum-based educational program for children ages 3-5. Responsibilities include providing a safe classroom learning environment, individualized service plans, education and support for family members and continuity of services.
Salary starts at $37,146 annually; pay increases with further education and/or experience
School year work schedule with a salary paid biweekly throughout 12 months

Bachelor's degree and valid PA Early Childhood Education Certification
Experience working with young children
Proficient computer skills
Successful completion of Criminal History, Child Abuse and FBI clearances
Valid driver's license and access to properly insured vehicle, or public transportation
Experience with Head Start is preferred
