As Head of Customer Engineering for the Media and Entertainment vertical, you will serve as an executive leading a team to engage with sales prospects, named accounts and channel partners to understand and assess customer requirements, prepare and present demonstrations of Google's Cloud technologies and address/overcome technical objections that arise. You'll lead efforts to drive solution innovation, working across the organization to identify the right assets and tools to drive customer adoption. Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
15 years of experience in quota-carrying software sales and strategic account management at an enterprise B2B software company.
Experience in leading and managing teams and business needs.
Experience in telecommunications and media and entertainment industries.
Experience in broadcasting and distribution, streaming media services, CDN or large-scale integrated media companies.
Experience working with web/internet related technologies, architecture across SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and cloud productivity suites.
Knowledge of U.S. and international media regulations, net neutrality, intelligent content, working with production studios and/or telecommunications companies, content/media marketing, segmented consumer and engagement.
Knowledge of solution architecture within web and mobile environments.
Ability to understand an account's existing software estate, its existing use of Google Cloud products and to identify expansion opportunities within the account.
Ability to engage and influence technical and non-technical audiences.
Meet with customers and participate in agreements and accounts. Prepare and deliver product messaging to highlight the Google Cloud value proposition specific to the vertical and/or customer.
Be responsible for technical aspects of solutions, including solution briefings, proof of concept work and coordination of supporting technical resources. Make solutions-based recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to implement a solution.
Lead detailed strategy in generating industry-specific business growth opportunities for Google Cloud. Manage opportunities through the entire cycle simultaneously, working with cross-functional teams. Serve as the primary customer vertical contact for adoption-related activities.
