The Head of Workplace will oversee the procurement, build-out, and daily operations of our global offices while reporting into the Head of People. You will be our go-to lead for workplace-related needs, including building and supporting the office management teams, running construction projects and managing facilities for our San Francisco, San Jose and Toronto offices.
Proven project management experience and a track record for delivering high-quality results in corporate technology environments is required.
What You'll Do:
Ensure employee happiness by providing 5-star customer service for our California and Canada office's with 400+ employees and growing
Support the Workplace Team in the implementation of short and long-term projects
Flexible hours to meet the high demands of a growing workforce (on-call evenings and weekends required)
Oversee all vendors as it pertains to office builds and renovations (site selection process, drive lease review and negotiations, oversee architect design process, GC selection and bid review, manage CPM and construction budget, own and manage FF&E scope and budget)
Project lead for information technology and physical security on construction projects
Manage facilities maintenance including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, utilities, and HVAC ensuring contractual requirements are met to maintain equipment Wish is responsible for per lease agreement
Act as primary liaison between Wish and property management (e.g., repairs, building code compliance, lease interpretation/conversations.)
Space planning and move management
Develop and implement processes and procedures that are mindful of the budget and impact on culture as well as sustainability.
Collaborates with colleagues on projects (HR, IT, Security, Legal and Finance) to create a strategic and thoughtful approach on all matters related to workplace.
Act as the central point of contact for all equipment, systems and infrastructure. Meets contractual requirements
Maintain budgeting with internal and external stakeholders
Who You Are:
7+ years of facilities experience
5+ years of office/people management experience
Solid knowledge of property and facility management, leases / contract review and construction terms and practices
Able to lift 20lbs and operate a hand truck
Possess strong knowledge of IT infrastructure
Strong project management skills with a high level of initiative and judgment
Highly adaptable and comfortable with change
Friendly, positive, and excellent communicator who is able to work effectively across the organization and enjoys creating memorable experiences for our team, visitors, and candidates
Commercial Real estate experience in lease review and negotiations
