Our office is a vibrant place filled with ambitious individuals interested in the tech and start-up scene and we constantly aim at providing them with an exceptional workplace experience.

As our Head of Workplace you will be responsible for our overall workplace strategy and the smooth running of day-to-day operations both in Berlin and San Francisco. You will be the leader of a small team as well as the main coordinator for several external parties such as architects, real estate agents or service providers. Furthermore, some exciting projects await as you will drive and shape the future of Contentful's workplace! We have just signed a long-term office space that we will move into by end of 2020 and plan an all-company offsite for outside of Berlin; so plenty of time to join forces with architects, designers and project managers and create a brand-new collaborative work culture. This role is based in Berlin and is a full-time role.


  • Conceptualize, create and maintain an inspiring and well-equipped workplace that motivates our staff to go the extra mile. People are our main asset and we want them to know and feel they have everything they need to do fantastic work!

  • Manage and develop our workplace teams in Berlin and San Francisco

  • Coordinate and act as the main point of contact for landlords, contractors, service providers and suppliers

  • Be responsible for large projects and budgets, such as our new office build-outs and our global office development strategy (we plan to open new locations over the coming years)

  • Work closely with other teams on shared projects such as organizing our annual company offsite, facilitating team moves, or revamping internal processes and communication


  • You have a background in project management or hospitality and are passionate about diving into the management of a service-related function

  • You enjoy multi-tasking and have successfully managed a distributed team in the past

  • You are outgoing, helpful and embrace the value of teamwork

  • You are a strong communicator, experienced leader and are not afraid to be hands-on when help in other areas is needed

  • You are fluent in English (English is our main company language) and have good working knowledge in German

The Head of People Experience / Head of Human Resources (m/f/x) is a senior people leader who oversees DV Berlin's People Experience team (incl. HRBPs) and evolves the talent strategy (including performance management, learning and development, staffing, culture and engagement, Employer Value Proposition, and compensation strategy) to support business goals. In this capacity, you will collaborate and align with global People leadership at BCGDV and the local Human Resources team at Boston Consulting Group. What you will do: * Provide efficient and effective services to employees with fit-for purpose structure, resourcing, processes and tools including effective change management from current to future state. * Define People strategy that enables and delivers on DV Berlin commercial targets; align Strategy with Regional Operating Committee (ROC), define KPIs and measure and report to ROC on quarterly basis. * Define and regularly review policies and share best practices in developing best-in-class people processes. * Advise local DV leadership team with performance management and HR processes as needed. * Line-manage a team of eight direct reports (People Experience team, Staffing, Learning & Development), act as their coach and sparring partner, enabling them to champion their expert knowledge and topics. * Design and implement staffing reporting and monitoring efforts including ensuring staffing processes and policies meet business needs as well as employee development goals. * Ensure culture and processes that enable employee development including informal feedback. * Interface with other DV Centers and BCG Mobility to help optimize capacity and utilization levels. * Coordinate with local Boston Consulting Group HR, Finance, and Legal functions to ensure efficient processes. What we look for: * You have a proven track record as senior leader in a highly people-centric business (preferably digital / technology or professional services). * You previously advised department leadership and employees in the role of HR Business Partner. * You have hands-on experience designing and implementing HR initiatives including, but not limited to: capacity planning/ staffing, performance management, learning and development, total reward, culture and engagement. * You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build excellent working relationships with senior stakeholders and across geographically dispersed teams. * Data over gut: You prefer to make suggestions and facilitate decision-making by gathering and analyzing relevant data. * You display complex business acumen, and bring slide writing and storytelling abilities to the table in order to advise and persuade senior leadership. * You live and breathe the servant leadership style. You mentor and advise your direct reports for their professional and personal growth at DV. * You have broad knowledge of German labor law and know how to apply it. * You have excellent English and German language skills. * It is a plus if you have project management experience involving many stakeholders.
