The Opporutnity
This role will equip the function to deliver the business plan by driving consistency, effectiveness and efficiency. It will direct, oversee and manage a set of operational activities provided to the wider department, which may include Governance and Reporting, Strategy Development, Financial Planning, Risk Management and Supplier Relationship Management.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage the relationship with other functions such as Finance, Procurement, IT Risk, and People.
Ensuring adherence to Group and Divisional Governance.
Execution of governance and reporting accountabilities to Divisional Leadership and Group
Contribute to the development of the strategy for the division, in alignment with the broader QBE strategies, and drive implementation.
Develop and own the frameworks, processes, methodologies and tools that support the services provided by the division the respective team supports.
Drive the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives across the division by setting priorities and regularly communicating relevant information to streamline processes, optimise efficiency and increase effectiveness.
Manage budgeted resources by anticipating expenditures, accurately forecasting resource needs/costs and properly accounting for expenses to meet requirements and achieve fiscal responsibility.
Identify opportunities to optimise return on investment, efficiency, reliability, availability, serviceability, and simplicity for end users.
Work with the Divisional Leadership team to develop KPIs and targets and produce metrics in support of measuring performance; analyse results to identify trends and opportunities for continual improvement.
Drive and foster a culture of continuous improvement, motivation, collaboration, empowerment and entrepreneurialism within the team.

Good financial acumen, in particular relating to IT Finance.
Ability to build strong relationships with division and group functions to understand the big picture and successfully contribute to the delivery of QBE's strategic priorities.
Negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups to settle differences with minimum noise.
Adapt and be flexible in a complex changing environment.
Utilise organisational agility to get things done through both formal and informal channels.
Drive execution of plans.
Clearly and confidently convey information to a wide audience.

Annual Salary Range: $146,000 - $220,000

Annual Salary Range: $161,000 - $242,000
CA (Remote, Fresno, Irvine and Woodland), Greenwood Village CO, CT, Chicago IL, MA, MD, NY (Remote), RI, Houston TX and WA
Annual Salary Range: $183,000 - $275,000
