Essential Functions:

  • Oversees and manages the installation of 60+ residential solar and battery projects per month including: Battery Only, Solar only, and Solar + Battery
  • Oversees Project Managers and Superintendents across multiple branches and job sites
  • Meets and exceeds gross margin and net margin targets
  • Achieves and maintains a 95% first pass success rate with virtually no site revisits
  • Recruits, trains, and develops teams of subcontractors and in-house installers, electricians and handymen
  • Establishes and implements a process to manage and motivate subcontractors in-house employees
  • Regularly evaluates the performance of all employees according to established processes with a focus on inspiring and nurturing employee development
  • Efficiently manages and reviews labor resources to be cost-effective and within set budgets
  • Assists in the roll-out of new branches
  • Work closely with CEO to support one another, share resources, and create happy customers
  • Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Keeps up to date on the overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions
  • All other duties as assigned by manager

Location: California (flexible within CA)

Requirements

Required Skills/Proficiencies: The Head of Operations (Operations Manager / C-10) must have the following skills:

  • Must have an active C-10 License
  • Electrician or equivalent experience and or Journeyman Electrician is a plus
  • 3 years minimum professional management experience in residential solar and battery installation
  • Must have experience managing teams installing at least 40 residential solar and battery projects per month
  • First-hand experience installing residential solar systems as a lead or crew member
  • Experience installing batteries (Tesla / Enphase / Generac) is highly preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of OSHA. OSHA 10 is highly preferred
  • Practical and conceptual thinking as related to project descriptions and needs
  • Computer skills with MS Office software with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; customer service mindset
  • Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be detail-oriented, be able to interact with cross-functional teams, be organized, and have the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail; able to manage priorities and workflow.

Physical Demands: The Head of Operations (Operations Manager / C-10) must have the ability

  • To speak clearly and hear oral communications by telephone and in person.
  • To have close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • To sit for prolonged periods, sometimes for two hours or more when working on the computer.
  • To lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

The Sr. Director Global Supply Chain & Operations will develop and lead the implementation of a best in class, globally competitive supply chain strategy. This role is responsible for the strategy, budget, resource planning and leadership of all supply chain functions for CamelBak including manufacturing, demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, sourcing and supplier management, logistics, and customer service. This role will recruit, lead, develop, and retain employees and will coordinate with other departments to ensure optimal results. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Functional Responsibilities include: Manufacturing: direct line responsibility for vertically integrated hydration reservoir manufacturing facility located in Tijuana, Mexico * Provide ongoing strategic direction aimed at continuous improvement of quality, lead time reduction, and cost improvement. * Contiguous development of manufacturing strategy to optimize footprint and overhead costs Global Planning: responsible for the Global Planning function including both Demand and Supply Planning departments. * Lead the development, implementation and execution of global demand planning, supply planning and scheduling strategies to ensure alignment of customer demand and production capacity. This includes the review and oversight of the forecasting and supply processes to support short/long term capacity requirements, deployment of ERP systems and management of scheduling and master planning processes. * Guide the development and continuous improvement of a robust S&OP process. Support the leadership of and accountability for the execution of the S&OP process. * Lead the development, implementation and execution of strategies that ensure optimal cash flow and inventory targets. This includes extensive data analysis and interpretation to identify, monitor and adjust improvement opportunities within the organization. * Establish and improve upon inventory management programs inclusive of lead-time reduction initiatives and improved forecasting processes. Ensure data integrity for accuracy of reporting. Global Sourcing and Logistics: responsible for Global Sourcing team including sourced finished goods supply base in addition to second and third tier supply network that supports vertical manufacturing. * Establish and lead best in class sourcing and supplier development programs to ensure the meeting of prescribed quality standards at optimal pricing with on-time delivery. This includes programs for supplier assessment, selection, collaboration and development. * Provide leadership in developing and executing ongoing supplier productivity programs to deliver annual cost reductions across the finished goods and component supply base. * Drive continuous improvement activities to reduce freight and other costs as a percentage of sales. Includes use of modeling tools and analysis to determine optimal scenarios. Product Operations: functional leadership of the Product Operations department which is responsible for working directly with manufacturing and finished goods suppliers to effectively manage capacity planning and timely delivery of both the existing product portfolio and new product launches while maintaining required quality and cost. * Establish and maintain processes to connect the Planning, Sourcing and Product Operations to seamlessly manage the on-time delivery of the demand forecast for existing and new products. * Create and provide business processes and systems that ensure alignment between Product Management, Planning, and Rand D to deliver products on time consistently Customer Service: functional leadership for Customer and Consumer Services teams charged with delivering best in class support for all channels of distribution. * Through leadership of the Customer Service Team, support CamelBak's customers, manage orders through the system, ensure customer compliance requirements are understood and implemented; including inventory availability, routing requirements, EDI processing and SMU-specific strategies. * Provide strategic leadership in developing a scalable Consumer Services team designed to provide best in class service for growing DTC business. Including timely and responsive order management and warranty claim administration. Key Metrics: * Financial forecast accuracy * Demand forecast accuracy * Excess and obsolete inventory positions * Forecasted inventory levels: inventory turns, days of inventory outstanding * On-time supplier fill rates, * On-time customer fill rates * YOY annual cost productivity * Operations Overhead Leadership Responsibilities: * Recruit, train, lead, develop, evaluate and retain direct and indirect labor associated with Supply Chain functions. * Recommend and assist with employee development programs. Ensure performance objectives are outlined and completed thoroughly and in a timely manner. * Assist with recommendations for LEAN activities, including cross functional work flow and business level KPI attainment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required. A focused degree in Supply Chain Management or related field is preferred. * An advanced (MBA) degree is highly preferred. * A minimum of 12 years of professional working experience in a consumer products industry is required. * A minimum of 10 years of overseeing a demand/supply planning team is strongly preferred. * A track record of transforming demand, supply and financial planning processes at a company into a cohesive, efficient, and reliable process. * Experience providing customer support for each of CamelBak's sales channel and managing supply from in-house manufacturing to global subcontract manufacturers is essential for this position. * Extensive experience with multi-site, global distribution channels. * Deep experience with an ERP & Advanced Planning Systems is required with strong preference for Oracle ERB 12.1 or 12.2 or SAP. * Experience with Logility demand and supply planning or a similar tool is strongly preferred * APICS and/or IBF certification is preferred. * Ability to lead work initiatives effectively across a broad range of cross functional groups teams is required. * Ability to communicate clearly (verbal and written), making the complex clear and the plan of action compelling to all levels of the organization. * Analytical thinking and a deep understand of the strengths and weaknesses of forecasting models is essential. * A deep understanding of lean principles of manufacturing, purchasing, distribution, customer service, financial forecasting, marketing, trade promotion planning, and new product planning is essential. Working Conditions: * Mental Attention: As indicated by responsibilities; ability to handle multiple priorities. * Physical Endurance: Computer terminal use 6-7 hours per day.Ability to lift 25 pounds unassisted.(Add any other physical requirements) * Environment: Standard Office.Domestic and International travel to include weekends and for periods if two weeks at a time occasionally required.
