About the role
This role is responsible for leading the team responsible for our Social Media and Blog channels. The key focus for this team is the implementation and amplification of global social campaigns and editorial work across our channels. Key to your success will be in making sure we remain innovative and agile in our approach, you'll keep a keen eye on our analytics and be prepared to pivot campaigns to get the best result. You will be an expert at maintaining our global social media channels, while staying in touch with our regionals needs.
The successful candidate will also be an expert in social media analytics and social media listening. Our Social Media leader will maintain our benchmarking analytics while delivering channel and campaign reports to key teams across the business. We use social listening to not only respond when our community needs us, but also to drive our campaign strategy by knowing when and how to join conversations already taking place.
The Social Media Team uses a 24/7 follow-the-sun model which means we have a Social Media Manager based in each of our key regions. We're looking for an effective communicator that can bring a sense of team and cohesion to a group with both global and regional priorities.
What you'll do
Leading the team responsible for our Social Media and Blog channels
Lift Xero share of voice and engagement globally with on topic and trending communications that align to our Xero message platforms
Lift Xero position against key message areas across markets
Key Contributor to the Xero Communications, Communities and Social strategy
Build a team who listen first, love data insights and then engage with insightful and relevant content
Ensure key messages are amplified effectively across comms and social channels
Create an empowered team who can be human and with Xero voice in the way they engage with our communities
Ensure teams are well aligned to support region efforts, and all stakeholders understand the operating model
Ensure the team operates with excellence and cohesion
Effective measurement in place to track and manage progress
What you'll bring
Our successful candidate will bring extensive experience in leading a progressive social media team, ideally within a hyper growth, global business. A bias to results and excellent communication skills are complemented by a strong understanding of social media and editorial marketing. You are self-motivated, willing to hustle and comfortable managing and inspiring a geographically dispersed team.
