Minimum qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience as a pre-sales manager or in a technical customer-facing role within a professional services or systems engineering team.

  • 5 years of experience in cloud security and security operations.

  • 1 year of experience managing and developing managers.

  • Experience developing business strategy to lead a team to meet business objectives.

  • Ability to travel 35% of the time as needed.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience as a Pre-Sales Director/Manager, leading an overlay sales engineering team.

  • Experience protecting an organization at scale in a cybersecurity capacity.

  • Experience crafting and tailoring a compelling message for a given security audience.

  • Experience within the information security industry with sub-regional knowledge.

  • Experience with Zero Trust solutions and initiatives, paired with an understanding of Cloud-Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPP,) and knowledge of the CNAPP marketplace/competitors.

  • Knowledge of Big Data, PaaS, SaaS, IaaS, public cloud, and related industry and technical concepts.

As the Head of Security Architects, you will lead a team of Global Cloud Security Solution Architects to engage with business prospects, discover/assess customer requirements, prepare, and present demonstrations of Google Cloud Security solutions, mostly focused on our Zero Trust, Secure Enterprise Browsing, and CNAPP offerings. You will address and overcome technical objections that arise throughout the business process, become a trusted advisor, and drive robust, strategic technical strategies and solutions from a technical, global escalation perspective. You will help design and deliver enablement content for our Customer Engineers and Regional Security Architects worldwide. Finally, you will assist with product interlock cadence to ensure bi-directional communication about new features and products between our field, customers, Security product management, and Security product engineering.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $181,000-$257,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead Global Security Architects across multiple geographic territories. Organize, equip, and assess the team's go-to-market readiness, and build plans to ensure the regional Solution Architect and Customer Engineer teams are trained and equipped to support business goals. Serve as an escalation point to resolve issues affecting customers. Manage and mentor Security Architects, providing guidance and support for professional development.

  • Partner with Google Cloud Security business leadership to define the go-to-market strategy for new products within the Cloud Security portfolio. Identify, qualify, and prioritize coverage for opportunities.

  • Collaborate with global leadership to prepare strategy/execution plans for the go-to-market approach. Determine staffing levels to support business goals and team development.

  • Promote Google Cloud Security solutions across industries and provide leadership around transformation, technology, cloud computing, and industry trends, with a focus on Cloud Security/CNAPP solutions.
