Corebridge Financials' Enterprise Resiliency organization is responsible for data, location, and oversight on resiliency throughout the enterprise. The Head of Resiliency and Strategic Programs partners with Security, Technology, our Businesses, and other support functions to respond to disruptive events and to help restore both technology and business process capabilities within predetermined timeframes. The resiliency strategies focus on detailed plans and operating procedures for those processes required for the financial and operational health of Corebridge Financial and its clients.

About the role

What you need to know:

  • Develop and lead the implementation of comprehensive resilience strategies by actively engaging all functions and partners aligned with the organization's goals.

  • Partner with business functions to maintain or develop response plans in the event of severe but plausible operational disruptions.

  • Manage third-party capabilities, service levels, and disaster recovery resiliency.

  • Support TPA account and business managers in performance tracking and improvement.

  • Produce high-quality corporate security and resilience deliverables such as threat, risk, and vulnerability assessments, threat intelligence briefings, and corporate standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Conduct ongoing key business service mapping to identify critical dependencies (people, process, technology, data, and premises) and potential vulnerabilities.

  • Identify, asses, and prioritize potential risks and threats to the company's operations.

  • Establish protocols for continuous monitoring and assessment of emerging risks.

  • Develop and maintain crisis response framework to ensure an effective enterprise response.

  • Design and implement resilience training programs for employees at all levels, fostering a culture of preparedness and adaptability.

  • Lead special initiatives and projects to identify potential partners and support other strategic programs.

  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of resilience initiatives.

What we're looking for:

Experience:

  • 10+ years of related experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Incident Management, Risk, Controls, Operations, Facilities or Technology-related discipline.

  • Experience developing and implementing standards and policies, which includes the planning and execution of resilience projects and initiatives.

  • Knowledge on operational resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident management, risk, and controls.

  • Experience with Enterprise Resiliency tools (e.g., Archer and Everbridge).

  • Experience with leading and implementing projects and working with cross-functional teams.

  • Written and Verbal Communication: Ability to communicate in a structured and crisp manner; can engage senior leadership to get the point across using deductive or top town communication approach.

  • Strong Analytical Thinking & Problem Solver: Ability to breakdown complex issues into smaller addressable solutions; can take a strategic point of view in formulating actions and solutions.

  • Project Management: Structured, organized and can create actionable implementation plans and timelines; knows how to deliver on time and manage teams and stakeholders to deliver to the same.

  • Change Leader: Ability to influence and take stakeholders, partners, and team along in driving the change; knows how to communicate 'what' to avoid surprises or issues with all partners; a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Strong People Leader: Sets clear direction to the teams and actionable deliverables; data driven and manages through metrics; strong coach and people developer; ability to assess talent consistently and fairly.
