Head of Production (Region) (M/F)

The Head of Production (Region) leads the Regional Production Team. This team combines all functions that enable and support the Regional Head and the Regional units (F/GCs) in maintaining safety, security and quality of all warehouse and aircraft handling activity in the Region.
S/he is responsible for achieving the Regional production targets (qualitative and quantitative) as defined by the Head of Region, and in accordance with the global LCAG production framework (LCAG production system, CHM and standards).
Within the targets set by the Head of Region, s/he is responsible for:
Warehouse and Aircraft Handling
Ensuring the maintenance of a production framework (cargo and aircraft handling, RFS) in the Region and all Regional units (F/GC's) which provides safety, security and quality in accordance with the global LCAG production framework (LCAG production system, CHM and standards).
Implementation of the LCAG production strategy in the Region in cooperation with FRA F/HG.
Implementation of digitization strategy in production in coordination with F/HG.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant internal and external regulations.
Active contribution to the further development of LCAG's worldwide production processes in cooperation with F/HG in the frame of the LCAG process house.
Preparation of the investment budget for handling locations and monitoring of the budget.
Monitoring of handling cost targets and achievements.
Providing counseling and advice to the Regional units (F/GC's) on special topics.
Acting as the Regional contact point for Aircraft/ Cargo handling surveillance and security together with the Heads of Sales & Handling (F/GC).
Evaluation of external partners (esp. for handling services) together with the Head of Region and the respective HQ departments, plus participation in the procurement processes.
Performance of tactical supplier steering on Regional level (SRM) in cooperation with the Regional units (F/GC's) and the relevant HQ departments.
Implementation and achievement of all relevant quality and process KPI (Key Performance Indicators) including data quality at all locations in the Area.
Where applicable: execution of L-level responsibilities.
Regular contact to the sales units in order to understand customer requirements and collaborate on high customer satisfaction.
Coordination of training activities according to the company regulations in cooperation with FRA F/PE for W/H and A/C Handling employees and partners.
Disciplinary leadership of the Regional Production Team.
Manages, encourages, guides and evaluates his/her team members, this includes agency staff contracted by LCAG.
Promotes and ensures people development.
Performs all other duties assigned or delegated by superiors.
High school diploma/GED required.
College degree/vocational training required.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent higher education required.
Master's degree desirable.
Min. 5-8 years of relevant work experience in the logistics or airline industry.
Excellent knowledge of LH Cargo's production processes and organization. Alternatively, excellent knowledge of comparable international airline/ logistics industry structures.
