Description

At Verily, we aim to revolutionize the landscape of evidence generation in order to bring the promise of precision health to everyone, everyday. This involves aligning products that support clinical research and those that support virtual care management closer together, with deep patient, member, and participant engagement.

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, the Head of Product, Medical Devices will play a key role in defining, developing, and supporting the commercialization and scaling of Verily's suite of medical device products (Retinal Services, StudyWatch), influencing all aspects of the technology and product development lifecycles. Life cycle management, competitive positioning, regulatory and evidence generation strategy, and roadmap execution are critical for this role. A key element of this role is interfacing with stakeholders across Verily including Leadership, Engineering, Commercial, Scientific and Medical, and Product as well as with external customer, vendor, and partner companies.

Possible locations of the role are South San Francisco or Mountain View.

Responsibilities

• Be the Verily product leader for medical devices, understanding and communicating where it is going, how fast, on which paths, hurdles, and key players.

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for medical device products from development to commercialization, including life cycle management.

• Define critical marketing claims and evidence generation strategy.

• Develop integrated hardware, software, service solution in collaboration with other product leaders.

• Collaborate with sales, engineering, UX, quality, regulatory, and other functions to outline go-to-market strategy and feature enhancements.

• Define the pricing and business model.

• Work with Compliance, Quality, and Regulatory teams to ensure appropriate approach and validation.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10+ years of relevant experience in hardware device product management.

• Experience scaling, commercializing, and iterating on products post-launch.

• Experience with regulated products.

• Demonstrated experience in design control, risk analysis and change control management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in ocular imaging products.

• Track record of user-focused product insights.

• Hands-on technical experience developing and launching medical devices.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $230,000 - $306,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
