As the Head of Product, Enrollment & Strategy Insights, you will support leadership by playing a crucial role in areas such as improved product business analysis, measuring the success of critical initiatives, driving analytics insights and evaluating partnership investments. Working closely with product and strategy business partners, you will synthesize insights, assist in crafting a long-term strategic plan, and inform near-term direction and goals, consistent with Group Benefit's growth, financial & business objectives. You will build and leverage relationships across all functional areas to gather data, uncover insights, influence strategic direction, and drive alignment. You will also oversee the $60M+ Product and Strategy expense budget.

You will

  • Assist in the establishment of product key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to guide the Group Benefits organization's success. These metrics will serve as critical benchmarks for evaluating the business' financial health, tracking performance, and making data-driven decisions.

  • Analyze financial data to review product performance and its impact on the business, and present actionable insights to drive profitable top line growth. This includes conducting in-depth analysis of emerging market trends and opportunities.

  • Assist in the gathering, reviewing & synthesizing of financial metrics and analysis for the monthly product reviews with Group Benefits Leadership.

  • Develop benefit realization framework for project portfolio by coordinating input from product and strategy business teams. Support the prioritization and facilitation of the integration and alignment of financials into the annual financial plan.

  • Oversee the expense management function for product, enrollment and strategy function. Meet with organizational department managers to discuss and establish timelines and methodologies for completing budgets. Research and compile data to forecast and prepare annual and monthly budget projections.

  • Provide consulting and prioritization between Product & Strategy Teams and Enterprise Data & Analytics for standard and ad hoc product reporting capabilities.

  • Support the Head of Enrollment by defining and reporting on success metrics for our Enrollment Partners. This includes the maintenance and improvement of the Enrollment RGO scorecard and assisting with vendor contract negotiations. Additionally, collaborate with the Enrollment team to better understand the financial impact of enrollment activities by quantifying earnings lift relative to operating expense.

  • Support the Head of Product & Digital Offerings by defining and measuring success metrics for our Ben Tech and API-enabled solutions, including return on investment.

  • Support the Head of Group Strategy and Retail by defining and measuring success metrics for our Retail business.

  • Partner with the Head of Digital Strategy and Offerings to institutionalize our definition of "digital" and how best to measure adoption, engagement, and value creation.

  • Collaborate with the Head of Sales, Compensation & Planning leader to ensure alignment of the 3-year financial sales plan with product's strategic vision and roadmap. Advise on budget considerations and tradeoffs to influence expense allocation and areas of investment using BAU funding.

You have

  • 8+ years of progressive finance and product development experience.

  • 3+ years employee benefits experience at an insurance brokerage and/or insurance carrier.

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial, economics, finance or related subject area.

  • Proficiency with Tableau software a plus.

  • Proven track record to complete high-quality work efficiently and increase autonomy over time.

  • Strong analytical skills: ability to analyze financial data sets and tell the story of the data.

  • Familiarity with predictive forecasting techniques and scenario modeling.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Experience building, leading, and motivating a team.

Location

This is a flexible position requiring 2 days per week in the office, with preference given to candidates within commuting proximity to a Guardian office. We will consider internal, remote candidates if experience is aligned and ability to travel to Guardian offices as determined by the People Leader.

Salary Range

$126,970.00 - $208,600.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
