Sanofi Genzyme is a global specialty care player where attraction and retention of diverse and great talents is essential to our growth. Consequently, we are seeking a passionate leader to define, in collaboration with the Global Head of HR Sanofi Genzyme, the strategies, plans, programs, initiatives, policies and systems relating to talent management and performance management. We require someone able to engage with CoE's to ensure alignment with global strategies.

The role of Head of People & Organizational Development consists of defining Sanofi Genzyme's talent ambition in close collaboration with business leaders, the HR team and Sanofi HR CoEs. This person will be the central point of contact of Talent Management for the GBU. The role deals with defining, coordinating and implementing talent and performance management processes and initiatives, building and following-up on talent pools to ensure the identification and development of the successors for the senior leadership roles in Sanofi Genzyme. This person will facilitate the cross GBU/GF/Geographies talent moves with the intention to accelerate career evolution, and also support the GBU in advancing its Culture evolution by ensuring the promotion of the right behaviours by our talent.


Lead the Global Talent Management Process for Sanofi Genzyme

  • Focus on the deployment of Talent Management for Sanofi Genzyme and ensure alignment with the strategic business priorities.

  • Define, analyze and communicate Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to measure the health of our talent programs and the impact on the business.

  • Lead and coach leaders and teams to design, develop and adapt the systems needed by the different areas of the business to execute the talent strategy. Drive core, common and consistent practices throughout the business where appropriate.

  • Actively promote the development of a diverse and inclusive workforce (e.g. gender, nationality) and drive the gender balance by 2025 plan for job grades L5 and LE.

  • Collaborate to drive the talent reviews on Sanofi Genzyme Executive Committee level. Together with the HR Team, facilitate the identification of successors for senior leadership and other critical roles.

  • Based on needs, consult and support the development plans for executives, senior leaders and critical roles incumbents /successor candidates.

  • Promote innovative and pragmatic ways to deploy the talent agenda and ensure talent has the right development and exposure to accelerate their readiness. Prepare Sanofi Genzyme specific materials and analysis for Sanofi ExCom talent events.

  • Closely collaborate with Sanofi CTO office and other GBUs/GFs to share best practices, implement Sanofi programs and to promote talent moves across entities.

  • Be the voice of Sanofi Genzyme in global, Sanofi wide talent management and talent development projects and forums.

Facilitate the Performance Management process in Sanofi Genzyme

  • As the GBU process owner, plan, instruct, manage, track and enhance the effective deployment of Sanofi performance management process.

  • Based on the business needs, plan and implement Sanofi Genzyme specific focus areas in performance management (e.g. promote the culture of feedback, rigorous and fair calibration).

  • Represent Sanofi Genzyme in Sanofi level development projects related to performance management and ensure GBU needs are taken into account.

Support Sanofi Genzyme business and HR leaders in building their talent/human capital road map

  • Help to translate the Sanofi Genzyme long-term business strategy into a talent strategy for the GBU, consistent with the Sanofi HR Strategy.

  • Make best use of Workday based data analytics and reports regarding specific populations within the GBU, as well as completion rates of HR processes, progress in specific areas such as gender balance, succession plans, talent moves or quality of individual development plans. Complement quantitative analysis with qualitative data.

  • Remain up-to-date on people management & development best practices to ensure innovative solutions are leveraged

Required skills & abilities

  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing talent strategies that drive business strategy. Has a strong business strategy mindset but can translate into concrete activities to drive the talent agenda.

  • Demonstrates progressive thought-leadership in areas of talent.

  • Genuine interest in people, open-minded, curious and innovative.

  • Understanding of the business imperatives and how they translate into people development needs.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication, demonstrates success in working effectively at senior management levels to impact and influence decision-making.

  • Strong experience in facilitation and people development practices, a coaching certificate is a plus.

  • Ability to work in a matrix, international and diverse environment.

  • Genuine interest in the usage of data-analytics to support decision making, comfortable in leveraging digital tools in the context of Talent analytics.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation and consultative skills.

Experience: +10 years professional experience in HR in organization development & Talent. Thorough knowledge of key HR processes related to people management and development. Agility to adjust in a Glocal Model.
