Local Projects is seeking a People & Culture generalist with strong recruiting skills who will work with the Studios Principal and Directors to recruit, motivate, and guide some of the top creative talent in the city as they produce cutting-edge exhibits and media projects all over the world.

This is a fast paced, creative and tight-knit company, with many opportunities to shape and drive culture. Your role would require day-to-day engagement and communication with all departments and employees within the studio.


Responsibilities for the Head of People & Culture:

Should have strong HR experience working in agency environments

Proven track record of strategically driving a positive and productive overall company culture

Remain highly empathic to individuals understand their core needs and hopes and help them focus their passions in concert with Local Project's (LPs) vision, mission and goals

Employee Relations experience keeping an ear to the ground regarding performance concerns, working with leadership to immediately address

Work with Team Leaders effectively mentor and support leadership in becoming ever stronger leaders.

Continue to improve performance review process, ensuring that feedback is direct and useful, and that each employee has a useful 90 day and annual review to set goals for their time at LP

Help to iteratively improve effective team structures for the studio

Work closely with rest of Operations team on Overall Company Employee Initiatives, Employee Awards, and other efforts to sustain LP's vibrant company culture

Work with recruiting agencies and portals to attract best candidates for Local Projects and to complete all steps in interviewing & onboarding

Lead on all HR stakeholder vendor relationships Immigration, Employment Law, Benefits, Learning & Development, etc.

Ongoing HR counsel for employees and for managers, including working to set career paths in alignment with employee passions and LPs needs

Handling terminations documentation, benefits overview, exit interview

Legal Compliance Federal, State, Department of Labor

Insurance Compliance


5 years experience in Human Resources, at least one in an agency environment

Strong business and personal ethics

Experience in a faced-paced creative/production environment

Genuinely enjoy people as an overall team and as individuals

Natural ease in fostering positive relationships with employees of different experience levels, diverse backgrounds and nationalities, and across all design disciplines

The Head of People &amp; Culture role is essential to the success of Rokt. In order to have an impact on the business, the P&amp;C Manager will ensure all people-related activities run smoothly, that employees across the global business have a consistent experience and that managers and leaders are creating an environment where all employees can be truly limitless.</p><p>The role of Head of People &amp; Culture is suited to a candidate who is wishing to build a successful career in a company with unlimited growth potential. The right candidate will ideally have a minimum of 4 years of relevant People leadership experience with 2 or more years experience providing cross functional support to teams including product, engineering, marketing and finance.</p><p>This role will provide the successful candidate with professional growth, with a real opportunity for career progression and international travel as the company expands globally.</p><p>Key Responsibilities Include:</p><p><strong>Strategic Partnership</strong></p><ul> <li>Supporting the global strategic planning process by identifying short and long-term talent objectives and executing against goals</li> <li>Supporting leadership in forecasting the talent pipeline in line with business needs and strategy</li> <li>Working with the executive team to advise on organizational design, execution of restructure plans and provide change management consultancy</li> <li>Facilitating a process that ensures that individual performance aligns to business performance; consistent and aligned individual target setting, monitoring and performance evaluation quarterly and annually</li> <li>Implementing Rokt regional initiatives; feeding into and support design when required</li> <li>Managing People and Culture projects and internal communications regarding initiatives as determined by global and local talent priorities</li> <li>Identifying and providing recommendations on changes to be made within the organization to improve culture and business operations</li> <li>Reviewing and benchmarking against industry and markets to continuously contribute to the improvement of compensation, benefits and offerings, ensuring Rokt is able to remain competitive</li> </ul><p><strong>Recruitment, Development and Support</strong><br></p><ul> <li>Leading the people operations team</li> <li>Managing the recruitment process from start to finish, working with recruiting agencies as needed</li> <li>Managing the onboarding process for new hires, working with leaders to identify specific needs tailored to each new employee’s role</li> <li>Managing the performance review process, adapting timing as needed on an individual basis</li> <li>Creating learning and development programs, working with the executive team to plan for higher level organizational and leadership development offerings</li> <li>Managing the learning and development schedule and supporting business leaders in providing employees with development opportunities that enable them to meet current and future performance standards</li> <li>Driving talent succession forward by participating in the planning of fiscal year budgets and staying on top of employee development gaps and projected timelines</li> <li>Managing processes related to promotions and merit increases as well as role and management changes</li> <li>Coaching people managers to ensure employees are completing people processes correctly and on time, are receiving radical candor feedback and that documentation is occurring as needed</li> <li>Promoting feedback mechanisms for employees to influence the continuous improvement of People and Culture services and processes</li> </ul><p><strong>People Operations</strong></p><ul> <li>Manage the completion of employee-related legal documents such as employment agreements, and handbook updates</li> <li>Staying on top of changing laws, both local and national and managing internal communications to staff</li> <li>Assisting the leadership team with resourcing needs and vacation approvals as needed</li> <li>Overseeing all employee lifecycle processes from new hire to termination</li> <li>Supporting the Finance team with crossover items such as payroll updates, PTO management, contract addendums, etc.</li> <li>Maintaining a knowledge of progressive people practices and key trends</li> <li>Leading on all compensation and benefit processes globally</li> <li>Conducting formal and informal employee surveys, understanding employee opinions, engagement drivers, and culture indicators and anticipating their needs and concerns</li> <li>Collaborating with the global People and Culture team on various initiatives including monthly reporting</li> <li>Managing people admin systems (Bamboo People, Justworks), and data and reporting as needed</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>A minimum of 4 years of relevant People leadership experience with 2 or more years experience providing cross functional support to teams including product, engineering, marketing and finance</li> <li>An ability to make quick decisions and initiate action in a fast-paced technology environment</li> <li>Strong entrepreneurial and commercial thinking, planning and organizational skills</li> <li>Strong relationship building skills and emotional intelligence to build rapport and trust and work effectively with different types of people at all levels</li> <li>A desire to network internally across the group and to build visibility externally</li> <li>Strong persuasive and influencing skills to provide consultancy and solutions to different levels of stakeholders</li> <li>Strong presenting and communication skills</li> <li>An ability to write and articulate complex information into simple, easy to understand language for employees and stakeholders</li> <li>An ability to apply generalist expertise to everyday work, employee relations, people strategy, talent solutions and workforce planning</li> <li>Solid analytical skills to interpret people data to drive talent decisions</li> <li>A desire to constantly learn and research the latest techniques or changes</li> <li>An ability to think strategically;
