Local Projects is seeking a People & Culture generalist with strong recruiting skills who will work with the Studios Principal and Directors to recruit, motivate, and guide some of the top creative talent in the city as they produce cutting-edge exhibits and media projects all over the world.

This is a fast paced, creative and tight-knit company, with many opportunities to shape and drive culture. Your role would require day-to-day engagement and communication with all departments and employees within the studio.

Requirements

Responsibilities for the Head of People & Culture:

Should have strong HR experience working in agency environments

Proven track record of strategically driving a positive and productive overall company culture

Remain highly empathic to individuals understand their core needs and hopes and help them focus their passions in concert with Local Project's (LPs) vision, mission and goals

Employee Relations experience keeping an ear to the ground regarding performance concerns, working with leadership to immediately address

Work with Team Leaders effectively mentor and support leadership in becoming ever stronger leaders.

Continue to improve performance review process, ensuring that feedback is direct and useful, and that each employee has a useful 90 day and annual review to set goals for their time at LP

Help to iteratively improve effective team structures for the studio

Work closely with rest of Operations team on Overall Company Employee Initiatives, Employee Awards, and other efforts to sustain LP's vibrant company culture

Work with recruiting agencies and portals to attract best candidates for Local Projects and to complete all steps in interviewing & onboarding

Lead on all HR stakeholder vendor relationships Immigration, Employment Law, Benefits, Learning & Development, etc.

Ongoing HR counsel for employees and for managers, including working to set career paths in alignment with employee passions and LPs needs

Handling terminations documentation, benefits overview, exit interview

Legal Compliance Federal, State, Department of Labor

Insurance Compliance

Requirements:

5 years experience in Human Resources, at least one in an agency environment

Strong business and personal ethics

Experience in a faced-paced creative/production environment

Genuinely enjoy people as an overall team and as individuals

Natural ease in fostering positive relationships with employees of different experience levels, diverse backgrounds and nationalities, and across all design disciplines

The right candidate will ideally have a minimum of 4 years of relevant People leadership experience with 2 or more years experience providing cross functional support to teams including product, engineering, marketing and finance.</p><p>This role will provide the successful candidate with professional growth, with a real opportunity for career progression and international travel as the company expands globally.</p><p>Key Responsibilities Include:</p><p><strong>Strategic Partnership</strong></p><ul> <li>Supporting the global strategic planning process by identifying short and long-term talent objectives and executing against goals</li> <li>Supporting leadership in forecasting the talent pipeline in line with business needs and strategy</li> <li>Working with the executive team to advise on organizational design, execution of restructure plans and provide change management consultancy</li> <li>Facilitating a process that ensures that individual performance aligns to business performance;
