The Head of of Government Affairs will lead our North American government relations, policy and public affairs team while serving as a leader in setting Lime's government relations strategy. Reporting to the Chief Programs Officer, you will be an instrumental member of the company's senior team and global government relations, charting the company's strategic growth, setting policy and public affairs priorities, and interfacing directly with government leaders. As an experienced manager working in a heavily outward facing role, the Head of Government Affairs helps the company advance in a dynamic regulatory environment and seeks paths toward expansion by effectively communicating the values of our service at the local, state and federal levels of government as well as with universities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 25+ across the region in government affairs, public affairs, public policy, regulatory policy, GovTech, and rider activation

  • Take charge of the development and refinement of the Lime's North American market entry strategy

  • Develop a strategy for winning North American Markets in the medium and long-term

  • Execute a state and federal government affairs strategy to address strategic policy issues facing the company and industry

  • Cultivate strong relationships with government leaders, businesses, organizations and other prospective partners to effectively carry out business development strategy

  • Evaluate, prioritize, and discern strategic paths toward owning market share

  • Assess and lead strategy around strategic public sector and NGO partnerships for the company, particularly with city governments, transit authorities, local stakeholders, and other relevant institutions

  • Build executive relationships with local government leaders, policy makers, and regulatory agencies, meeting with them on a regular basis to create lasting relationships that help to establish trust, mitigate potential obstacles, and convey the company's priorities and strategies

  • Establish executive relationships with trade, civic and business organizations to advance efforts and sustain efforts in new communities

  • Partner with organizations, educational institutions and similar groups to align Lime's social mission in transportation, health, and the environment to enhance community outreach initiatives

  • Collaborate with marketing team on field marketing and local media activities

  • Lead company's work with strategic advisers

  • Set and carry-out the public policy and advocacy agenda for the company, working collaboratively with the other teams and executives to ensure alignment between business objectives and policy and community outreach goals

Requirements

  • 15+ years experience in local, state, and federal government affairs, political campaigns, advocacy or similar

  • Strong leadership experience and track record of growing a team

  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to speak in public

  • Tenacious disposition and aptitude for overcoming obstacles

  • Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels

  • A strong business development and aptitude for finding strategic wins

  • Government affairs know-how with experience leading or working at a high level in government arenas, particularly within city governments

Responsibilities include establishment of review policies, review of commercial materials (promotional and training materials), and management of the preparation of regulatory filings. Responsible for developing strategies/timelines, conducting meetings, and acting as liaison with the Food and Drug Administration's Office of Prescription Drug Promotion (OPDP). Works closely with other functional areas such as Marketing, Legal, Sales Operations, and Medical Affairs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Develop, execute, and provide guidance for effective, proactive commercial regulatory strategies and plans. * Work with Commercial Team on any line extension strategies or necessary regulatory filings to support commercial product (i.e. Annual Reports) or post marketing commitments for both the US and EU * Manage the regulatory aspects of promotional materials (press releases, website, social medial review, etc.), as well as sales training materials. * Support post-marketing activities for commercial products, including review and approval of commercial labeling and advertising/promotional materials, based on domestic and international regulatory requirements. * Provide interpretive analyses of complex regulatory guidance documents, regulations, or directives that impact the Company's promotion of products and operations. Advise personnel in other departments regarding their applicability and impact. * Perform regulatory intelligence activities to keep current on the OPDP environment and competitive products; communicate such environment to the teams. * Interface with other team leaders to ensure coordination and implementation of consistent standards and processes. * Proofread documents and work closely with Regulatory Operations to publish the final regulatory OPDP submission. * Interact with key personnel in OPDP. * Update and provide appropriate promotional compliance and regulatory training and education to contracted staff . e.g. contracted physicians, speaking on behalf of company. * Provide appropriate promotional compliance and regulatory training and guidance to sales reps and medical science liaisons regarding their respective roles and responsibilities.
