Role description and opportunities
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a growing team that is leading UX driven marketing across BNY Mellon's global brand and businesses. We are looking for a leader whose passion is taking design and user experience to the next level by delivering impactful and engaging digital experiences across our global enterprises. Someone with leadership ability to direct as well as be hands on in the creation of client-centric web properties, client marketing journeys, new digital design frameworks in order to support global strategic initiatives.
The ideal candidate must bring a history of deep design thinking, client journey, client experience research, full UX and design practices, the ability to lead large UX workshops and the ability to present to senior executives the importance of user-centric designs. Looking for a keen eye for clean and modern digital brand designs.
You must be able to understand the design and UX implications on a business and balance the art and science of how to optimize web, social, media, content and email. An analytical and strategic thinker is required to identify new digital marketing opportunities and partner closely with the brand and data teams.
This role frequently collaborates with business, sales, product and technology leaders to capture the requirements and translate them to design a compelling digital marketing experience. As Head of Marketing UX Design you will have direct access and visibility into executive leadership and will review and represent the design work regularly with marketing leadership.
Key responsibilities include the following
Define the strategic vision for all marketing digital design and UX at BNY Mellon
Conceptualize, design and execute 360 digital activations
Create and maintain visual and conceptual consistency across multi-channel digital strategy brand and business campaigns
Deliver clear, concise and thorough communication of campaign and design goals. Provide consistent feedback to team members, ensuring integration of design requirements into all phases of production, including QA
Oversee the design and UX process for all global digital channels
Create scalable digital design language for our enterprise digital properties
Translate business requirements to effectively tell a client centric marketing story to bringing products and solutions to market through digital
Collaborate, and be the conduit, with your peers in demand generation, development and analytics
Design digital marketing websites, campaigns, user journeys to drive business results through user-centric design
Manage vendors, budgets and mentor junior UX members
Translate business rules to the user's experience and the ability to translate the value of the user's experience back to senior executives
Lead multiple projects in parallel, meeting aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment with a positive and motivated mindset
A successful candidate should ideally have these qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required
15+ years of industry experience. Finance exposure preferred
Strong ability to apply design thinking to problems and create solutions by conceptualizing ideas
Thorough knowledge of Human/User Centered Design principles
Demonstrated experience leading and growing high performing design teams
Extensive experience making best in class digital campaigns, websites, mobile and omni-channel programs for global institutions
Experience leading user research and usability testing
Track record of translating business models into a strong user-centric digital experience
Demonstrated ability to influence and lead large, global, complex projects from concept to delivery and continuous improvement
Impeccable visual design skills demonstrating ability to craft high impact, modern and aesthetic designs as well as strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills
In-depth understanding of the development lifecycle and experience working closely with the development teams in an iterative manner
Portfolio of design work showcasing wireframes, design details, visual designs required
