As a key business leader, the Head of Marketing will embrace and further Anova's corporate, business and marketing goals. With an ability to lead and motivate people, this person will use creative and collaborative tools to execute the big picture while managing the details.

About the Role:

Market Strategy

  • Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan, across industry segments and multiple geographies

  • Partner with business unit leaders and product development teams to identify markets to pursue and products to develop and promote to targeted markets

  • Market and/or voice-of-the-customer research skills (able and willing to ask the right questions) to investigate new markets, understand key customers, competitors and share, market dynamics, and threats

  • Collaborate with BU Leaders, Sales, Product Development on key initiatives

  • Analyze industry trends and competitive products, sales, and marketing activities

Product Marketing

  • Develop the marketing strategy for new and existing products

  • Develop and lead Anova's marketing strategy, tactics and programs in support of key growth objectives

  • Work closely with the sales teams; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and presentations

  • Oversee research of new markets; drive understanding of key customers, competitors

  • Lead product marketing, value propositioning, competitive benchmarking

  • Articulate Anova's value proposition in targeted markets

Corporate Communications

  • Be a visible representative of the company in the marketplace

  • Act as the company's public relations director with media

  • Craft internal communications to Anova employees on a variety of topics


  • Develop and implement an Anova brand strategy, including purpose & essence

  • Build market recognition of Anova name and core value to the industries we serve

  • Ensure consistency of Anova's internal and external branding and messaging

  • Find creative ways to enhance and strengthen Anova's brand position

Advertising & Promotions

  • Oversee implementation of the Marketing strategy - including campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR

  • Manage & develop Anova's website, email outreach, social media, and digital strategies

  • Create awareness, interest, and actionable leads through development of sales materials, executive presentations, PR, print ads, digital marketing, and tradeshows

  • Manage social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition

  • Draft compelling, quantitative case studies and other marketing materials that highlight the impact of our solutions

  • Bring value-enhancing ideas to the business unit leaders proactively

About You:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to develop and manage operating budget

  • Excited to manage a globally dispersed marketing team

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders

  • Works in an open, transparent and fact-based manner

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
