Maintain strong links with the Airwave IT Application Development teams, and other Airwave functions, to ensure IT Infrastructure is in-line with overall strategy and fit for purpose.

Work closely with Airwave and ESN IT Security functions ensuring we are fully compliant with all patching and security requirements.

Manage the initial ESN IT Infrastructure transition into live service followed by ongoing delivery of 3rd line IT Infrastructure support, maintaining strong links with the ESN Project and Architecture Teams.

Create and maintain strong working relationships with Global Motorola Solutions IT and Technology teams to ensure integration with, and adherence to, overall Global IT Strategy.

Financial Accountabilities:

  • Working with the IT Director, and Finance function, to manage both the OPEX and Capex elements of the annual IT budget as they relate to the IT Infrastructure function.

Accountable for:

  • Management of the IT Infrastructure teams for Airwave and ESN.

  • Prioritisation of team resources and activities.

  • Overall design and delivery of core IT Infrastructure in support of Airwave and ESN Operations.

  • Ensuring IT Infrastructure complies with the relevant security policies.

  • Approving design proposals for Airwave IT infrastructure from within own team, suppliers and elsewhere across Motorola Solutions.

  • Transition, and ongoing support, of ESN IT Infrastructure into UK Managed Services.

Strategic acountability/responsibility:

  • Input to overall Airwave IT Strategy.

  • Input to and maintenance of Airwave IT Infrastructure elements of rolling 3 year roadmap.

  • Input to ESN Infrastructure roadmap.

  • Responsible for ensuring the IT Disaster Recovery capability supports Airwave and ESN Business Continuity plans.

Responsibilities for people:

  • Managing a team of 11 people and any additional contract staff to supplement the team as required.

  • Management of objective setting, performance and talent reviews, time recording, training needs analysis, recruitment and overall team development.

This is a critical leadership role within the CDO organization and will have accountabilities for implementing data governance policies, standards, and frameworks, operationalization of data products, and overall operations of governance working groups and councils. He/she will work with business and functional stakeholders to ensure our Data Governance framework, tools, and capabilities are operational and are used across SVB. He/she will report directly to the Chief Data Officer. Essential Functions: Drive the overall implementation of the global data ownership and governance operating model Implement global enterprise data policies, standards, and frameworks. Serve as administration for Data Governance working groups and councils with escalation to Board Level committees. Build and manage operations teams to manage day to day flow of data/information through its entire journey from creation to consumption and/or destruction. Operationalize a "SOX-like" data quality monitoring program with control ownership and data certification. Operationalize Data Products built by the CDO organization (e.g. Master Data, Data Platforms) and implement change management and training. Operationalize the review of data quality and remediation scorecards assigned to functional leaders across the organization. #LI-KU1 Broad experience desired, in multiple domain areas, such as Information Management, Data Governance, Policy and foundational data process management, and financial controls. Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide programs, operating and influencing effectively across the organization and within complex contexts and getting things done through others not directly under his/her supervision Executive presence combined with negotiation and strong communication skills, including the ability to explain data concepts and technologies to business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists; the ability to the strategically and act tactically Experience running Information Management / Data Operations teams who can quickly problem solve and are action oriented Proven data literacy — the ability to describe business use cases/outcomes, data sources and management concepts, and analytical approaches/options.
