Head of Financial Systems Support (FSS), Oracle EBS, Vice President

Responsibilities

  • The Head of Financial Systems Support (FSS ) is supporting Global Accounting Operations (GAO) and other Finance teams, ensuring finance applications are properly maintained and available as defined in the agreed service level agreement. This role will require extensive knowledge of Oracle EBS.

  • He / She works with IT and AMS to run a best-in-class Financial Systems environment.

  • Strategic partner with Financial Planning and Analyst (FP&A), Technology and Financial Risk Infrastructure Business Solutions Team (FRIBS) to align IT strategy with broader GAO multi-year objectives

  • The FSS team is supporting M&A activity, restructurings and tax initiatives

  • Lead the Financial Data Governance Council (FDGC) and liaison with EDGM (MDM) Committee to establish sustainable review and approval process for cross company updates to data structures/hierarchies

  • Support GAO data integration strategy, identifying financial data repositories, defining data elements and longer term implementing solution architecture to align/map data into single enterprise wide warehouse

  • Leverage global resources to ensure continuous process improvement and optimal support model for accounting month-end/quarter-end close.

  • The role includes responsibility for the FSS teams in Coimbatore and other locations in India

Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of Oracle EBS

  • Extensive knowledge of Oracle HPL/HPCM

  • Knowledge of Business process and technology of EBSO in delivering RICE (Reports, Interfaces, Customizations and Extensions)

  • Manager with 10 years + of leadership experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology or related degree.

  • Senior Executive with a strong mix of finance and technical experience and the ability to influence at all levels

  • Strong written and oral communication skills to motivate, to build consensus and to influence staff

  • Solution oriented and result-driven with exceptional analytical skills and the ability to think both strategically and

pragmatically

  • Strong motivational leader with the ability to build cross-functional teams and develop individual talents to promote the bigger picture

Candidates with: Oracle Architect, Oracle EBS or oracle e-business suite.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston's Financial Management division, encompassing financial planning and analysis, accounting and procurement, is responsible for providing timely, accurate, and reliable Boston Fed financial information to internal and external stakeholders. Headquartered in the Boston Fed, the Financial Support Office (FSO) provides holistic financial management leadership for all twelve Reserve Banks by positioning the highest levels of the Fed's leadership to work in concert and achieve multi-year strategic spending alignment and spending stewardship; money is spent in the right place, in the right amount and for the right value. About the Role: The Head of Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement is an Assistant Vice President position reporting to the Executive Vice President (EVP) of National and Local Finance. This role requires the experience and judgment needed to understand organizational dynamics and navigate expertly to drive transformation in a complex organization. The Head of Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement provides direct support to the EVP in conceptualizing, planning and executing high-profile/high-impact goals in helping to advance the Fed's finance vision and discipline. Responsibilities: Serving both local and National finance units, the Head of Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement's areas of responsibility include: * * Drive performance by developing key thought-partner relationships with finance leadership, setting/supporting challenging goals, and advising on strategic decisions * * Create a strategic direction and deliver on strategic opportunities through engagement with both internal and external stakeholders to assess gaps, identify solutions, and lead change; scanning the environment to frame recommendations and to formulate business cases for collective action * * Build cohesion and alignment across units by serving as a member of the EVP's operating committee: acting as the voice for human capital management, organizational effectiveness, marketing and communications, financial planning, space planning, stakeholder management, and project management of key stakeholder deliverables * * Improve efficiency and effectiveness of administrative operations by identifying the need for centralization of cross-functional activities; leading or transitioning activities so they are successful and sustainable; managing administrative support across the units * * Ensure forward progress of finance's high-priority initiatives by supporting the Fed's Advisory Group on Financial Management, comprised of Reserve Bank and business line CFOs/finance executives, and the internal National/Local finance operating committee; providing insights, recommendations and support for the Enterprise Resource Planning and Financial Management Platform programs * * Create new business value by conceptualizing, designing, and leading projects end-to-end, typically in the areas of strategic planning, process redesign, or business transformation * * Encourage inclusion and innovation by managing "incubator" efforts; supporting cross-District stretch assignments/job exchanges * Knowledge and Experience: Desired experience in business, finance, people operations and change management is typically gleaned from 10 years of progressive industry, non-profit and/or start-up company experience, with 5 years operating in a leadership capacity.
