A Head of Finance job in Red Oak, TX is now accepting applications. This is a permanent / direct benefited position with one of our key Aerospace clients.
In this role you will be accountable for the accounting operations of the company. To be considered, you will hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience, and have more than 10 years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation in manufacturing. Additional experience in Operations related to Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement required.
Be accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the accurate production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with US generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards, in line with Bombardier policies.
Drive business performance for your site and all other satellite sites related to your product for outstanding work.
Ensure proper cash management and risk management working closely with Corporate Office for treasury, payables and receivables functions.
Understand, respect and enforces the client, US GAAP and IFRS accounting policies and procedures;
Manage outsourced functions and ensure all TSAs are respected (service levels and payments);
Design an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives. Hire proper talents to have a world-class finance organization;
Ensure all processes are mapped and standard work is implemented and documented;
Drive performance improvements (at or better than budget levels) for manufacturing hours, indirect support ratios, bill of material (BOM) and inventory levels;
Lead the implementation of all standard processes and reporting.
Cost accounting, analysis and reporting (working with Bombardier Shared Services)
Procure to pay cycle.
Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner and that Bombardier policies and procedures are respected;
Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly;
Ensure payroll is processed as per TSA;
Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed;
Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions (follow policies).
Issue timely and complete financial statements in support to controller;
Support the Management, Discussions and Analysis (MD&A) process;
Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics;
Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts (in line with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) process);
Understand the variances to budget and drive RCCAs to improve;
Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
Comply at all time with controls and compliance policies;
Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit;
Support in a proactive fashion the internal audit processes and teams;
Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings and environmental regulations.
Head of Finance Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience, and;
Have more than 10 years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation in manufacturing preferably;
You also have a strong experience in audits and have ITAR clearance;
Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations
Operations experience in continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing
