Reporting to the Global Head of Talent Acquisition Strategy & Programs, the Head of Executive Search is an experienced Executive Search professional who will provide strategic leadership and business partnership to our executive team globally on our most senior hiring needs and bring our Executive Search function to the next level.
The Head of Executive Search provides vision and leadership to execute on talent needs on the top level of the company globally to support business growth and drive performance understanding the overall life-science market and talent landscape.
This key Talent Acquisition leadership role will leverage multiple business relationships to identify and engage with top industry executives while building and assessing leadership capabilities and networks being responsible for end to end executive recruitment.
End to end executive search responsibilities including identifying and engaging with potential talent for future opportunities
Design and implement strategies to identify and attract senior level talent to the organization; inclusive of both organic attraction techniques and partnership development with key external search partners
Effectively manage external search partners, as needed; manage vendor relationship and performance
In collaboration with Total Rewards design competitive offers to candidates leveraging deep understanding of the market and portfolio of executive compensation elements
Maintain up to date knowledge of talent trends leveraging competitive intelligence
Identify and champion new and innovative approaches to diversity and inclusion, talent attraction and sourcing, ensuring these are integrated with Takeda`s brand
Build and foster strategic relationships with executives and leadership teams in client groups, as well as with HR leadership
Assess candidates for core competencies, leadership capabilities, cultural fit and future potential. Expert in all common leadership assessment techniques and tools.
Conduct proactive talent pipelining and sourcing initiatives leveraging industry expertise and relationships, as well as research/mapping, and other creative solutions
Track milestones and timelines across projects, analyzing and communicating project risks and issues as necessary, making adjustments to project plans, timelines or resources to ensure successful project delivery
Consult with and advise internal company executives on key industry talent trends and best practices
Develop an effective pipeline of key talent from competitors and industry leaders
EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
15+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition and executive search - ideally worked in life sciences industry and with profound knowledge of executive compensation
Leadership presence and credibility to interact with all levels of employees and stakeholders, including senior executives. Track record of influencing senior leaders.
Excellent customer relationship skills, must be diplomatic and tactful
Passionate and knowledgeable about executive search best practices and leadership assessment techniques
Acting as a Subject Matter Expert: responsible for staying aware of life sciences business trends and being an ambassador for the Takeda brand
Outstanding networker with a passion for talent and understanding business strategies and translating these into actionable talent acquisition strategies
Genuine service attitude coupled with a sense of urgency and tenacity
Collaborative and influential in partnering with HR Business Leaders, as well as Executive Business Leaders
Can effectively manage global and complex change and shift gears comfortably; highly effective in ambiguous environments; able to deliver expected results with minimal direction and guidance
Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with others in high-pressure situations
TRAVEL and Additional REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to attend calls to accommodate different time zones
Domestic and international travel potentially required (less than 20% of the time)
Ability to safeguard sensitive information and maintain high level of confidentiality
