Job Description


Reporting to the Global Head of Real Estate, Facilities & Procurement, this Senior Director/Head of Capabilities & Chief of Staff will:

  • Help build and align a world class Global Real Estate, Facilities, and Procurement function, a business partner organization and function at Takeda with accountability for global real estate, facilities, security, procurement, and meetings & travel.

  • Own the co-creation, implementation, governance, and program management of the Global Real Estate, Facilities, and Procurement function's vision and strategy. Create forums and processes that bring the function's strategy to life and ensure execution.

  • Facilitate horizontal and vertical alignment of a complex, global set of stakeholders. Mobilize resources to achieve a wide variety of function objectives.

  • Chief of staff oversight and delivery of day-to day activities required to operate the function. Lead and support the creation, delivery, and coordination of C-level (Takeda Executive Team) materials.


This leader will manage a team of 3-5 individual and:

  • Own the program management of delivering upon the function's vision/strategy, service models, and annual operating objectives. Bring the Global Real Estate, Procurement, and Facilities Leadership Team and key stakeholders together to co-create roadmaps, objectives, and project plans. Provide oversight of implementation.

  • Lead the integration of the companies for Global Real Estate, Facilities, and Procurement. Lead the transformation of the function. Lead the program management office for the function including oversight of key processes and systems. Accountable for the function's success and delivery of our service models.

  • Co-create and lead the implementation of the global vision for processes, systems, and tools that span the function. Leverage digital, automation, and contemporary technology across the function.

  • Manage and create visibility of function KPIs and SLAs both within function and with key stakeholders. Create forums to develop action plans to make improvements and course correct as required.

  • Enable sponsorship of people engagement and capability development (of both individuals and the organization) across the function. Attract, develop, and retain the best talent.

  • Develop operating rhythm and governance practices for function. Oversee and perform day-to-day activities required to operate the function. Plan, lead, support, and follow-through on ongoing key meetings and leadership summits to help create a high-performing team and foster a mindset of accountability and sense of urgency.

  • Lead and support the creation, preparation, and consolidation of C-level (Takeda Executive Team and Business Review Committee) presentations and materials.

  • Team together with wide variety of internal stakeholders. Establish deep partnerships with Regional Heads, Global Centers of Excellence (CoEs), Heads of Procurement, and Business Partners (especially Finance, HR, and Communications), as well as key positions within the Business Units and functions.

Decision-making and Autonomy

  • Advisor to the Senior Vice President, Head of Global Real Estate, Facilities, and Procurement.

  • Empowered to carry out function-wide programs, projects, and also to represent the function internally and externally.


  • Demonstrated abilities in high value project/program management of high-performing global/regional teams.

  • Leadership experience in team management, governance models, and supplier management, both strategic and operational/day-to-day.


  • Creative and practical problem solver.


  • Complex mix of internal stakeholders within function.

  • Highly regulated industry.


  • BA or BS Degree required, MBA or Master's Degree preferred.

  • At least 5-7 years working in top-tier consulting, biotech/pharma industry, or other highly regulated industries. Exposure with global real estate, facilities, and procurement function is a plus.

  • Program management and project planning expertise.

  • Experience working in a complex global environment favored.

  • Exceptionally skilled at stakeholder management. Comfortable working with higher management.

  • Collaborative and diplomatic.

  • Demonstrated track record of operating well with ambiguity and limited day-to-day direction.

  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills both written and PowerPoint.


  • Global travel as needed, averaging 30% and up to 50% at times of peak activity.

VIEW JOBS 2/15/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-15T00:00 Description The Portfolio Manager position is responsible for prudent underwriting and effective credit and risk administration with particular emphasis on adherence to credit policy and requirements, financial analysis/modeling, risk evaluation, on-going portfolio maintenance activities, and client support for an assigned portfolio of existing credits and prospects primarily of moderate to medium complexity, with some having higher complexity. Responsibilities to include: * Ensuring overall portfolio performance and asset quality remains strong and when necessary surfaces issues, proposes and collaborates with others on strategies and actions to limit risk and loss to the Bank. * Monitoring the performance of existing borrowers within assigned portfolio and ensure compliance with financial covenants. * Assisting the Relationship Manager in structuring more advanced credit transactions, developing proposal letters, TOSs, term sheets and commitment letters. They will take the lead on the internal credit process for obtaining approvals of credit proposals. * Performing the functions of the position with only periodic oversight and is expected to perform with minimal supervisory intervention. * Independently applies the conditions of credit decision to the different types of credits contained within the portfolio to ensure that all monitoring and tracking requirements are met and that all documentation is up-to-date per policy * Ensures loan agreement is in accordance with approval documents. Identifies potential issues contained within loan documentation and takes steps to address the issues, in consultation with RM. Key voice with the interaction of the client in closing transactions. * Manages compliance and control routines related to the credits contained in the assigned portfolio. * Independently follows up with borrowers to address missing financial information or to resolve covenant violations on a timely basis Qualifications * 10+ years of commercial credit experience primarily in Commercial Real Estate * Exhibited competency in financial analysis and credit structuring, understanding and applying credit policy and credit monitoring and risk administration practices * Prior portfolio management experience to include proposing credit and covenant structures and documenting loans * Commercial Real Estate experience – debt, equity or development experience is preferred.
