The Head of Business Transformation will manage a team of project managers and business analysts who will drive the transformation of the Deposit Operations functions across Valley. The team will be responsible for working with department managers and key stakeholders (i.e. IT, Lines of Business) in driving strategic and tactical changes to our systems, reengineering operational processes to improve efficiency and assisting in our overall organization transformation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide active and dynamic leadership to business transformation initiatives aimed at achieving the bank's strategic and financial objectives.
Use consistent change management methodologies to:
complete current state assessments
identify areas needing improvement, open issues, systems deficiencies, etc.
develop alternative solution scenarios
secure approval for the optimal solution
develop and implement a project plan, cost estimates, timelines, etc.
drive full execution, including organization, process and procedural impacts, across the business/functions
Facilitate team meetings, cross-functional workshops, stakeholder engagement sessions and management updates
Serve as a liaison between business units on projects that involve multiple organizations or business units within the scope.
Provide management with updates on project status, key metrics, issues, and risks, on a regular basis. Maintain accurate and thorough project documentation/record keeping.
Lead complex, cross-functional business assessments breaking down information and developing a prioritization and implementation plan.
Oversee the departments involvement in special assignments, i.e.; mergers and acquisitions, new system implementations, Enterprise data warehouse build and any ad-hoc situations.
Support other areas of the bank by providing coaching on business transformation methodologies, processes and tools.
Strong Project leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, on time and within budget.
Strong inter-personal skills to facilitate building positive working relationships across a variety of constituencies within the bank.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly experienced at creating and presenting presentations to all levels of an organization.
Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills with a demonstrated competency in strategic thinking that results in new ideas that drive the business forward.
Subject matter expert on deposit operations and compliance, electronic funds transfer processing and compliance and a working knowledge of the banks main servicing systems. Expertise on Cash Management products and systems.
Bachelor's degree - preferably in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting and a minimum of 15 years' banking experience, with substantial experience in Deposit operations.
Minimum of 10 years' experience leading significant change management initiatives with a substantive track record of success.
