Would you like to lead a business development team to help enterprises and industries adopt Amazon Web Services (AWS)? Would you like to be part of the leadership team focused on enabling AWS' success in a sales area in the enterprise segment and major industry markets? As Head of Business Development for Enterprise and Industries for a sales area, you will have an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver on area level strategy to help enterprises and industry ecosystems transform using the AWS Platform. Your responsibilities will be market development and execution of one or more growth programs for the Enterprise and Industry Markets, work with field teams to drive customer adoption, measure results, and evolve programs to effectively meet AWS' customer needs. You will work closely with the global enterprise and industry teams, and must be comfortable working with cross functional global and regional teams in dynamic organizations as. Typically cross-functional collaboration includes business development teams, marketing, partners, solutions architecture, professional services, compliance, product, sales enablement, sales operations, and other related teams.
The right candidate will have successful enterprise and/or industry experience in growth-oriented roles, demonstrated market development experience, market scaling experience using go-to-market programs, a proven track record of leading and driving multiple complex programs to meet business objectives, excellent program and project management skills, a customer-obsessed and collaborative approach, strong data and metrics bias, a deep understanding of how large enterprises operate, and a passion for helping them transform using cloud technologies.
Serve as a key member of the Business Development team to drive overall AWS market and technical enablement strategy for enterprises and industries in a sales area.
Define and execute on a strategic market development plan and ensure it's in line with the AWS strategic direction, in partnership with key internal stakeholders (e.g. sales teams, product teams, marketing, partner team, legal, support, etc.).
Identify and engage key enterprise and industry customers, and identify and engage key partners including ISVs and system integrators.
Build business development pipeline by engaging with key prospects and partners.
Deploy pilot and scale growth programs in the field working with sales enablement, and account teams.
Understand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with the internal development teams to guide the direction of our product offerings.
Present business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks to expanding our reach in the enterprises and industries.
Lead customer briefings, present at customer events, further AWS thought leadership in the enterprise and industry domains.
Understand the use of salesforce.com and other internal Amazon systems.
