Then come and join our global team as Head of Benefits & Pension Americas to be a key member of the Total Rewards team responsible for overseeing and managing the design, implementation, and administration of employee benefit programs across the Americas region. The role is leading a team of benefits & pension professionals across the countries in the region.

Position Summary

This role plays a critical part in ensuring that our organization's benefit & pension offerings are competitive, compliant, and aligned with the company's overall strategic objectives. The Head of Benefits & Pensions Americas will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and the benefits team to optimize our benefit programs.

The role also plays a crucial role in shaping the organization's total rewards strategy and ensuring that employees in the region receive competitive and meaningful benefit packages. By effectively managing benefit programs and staying up to date with regulatory changes, they will contribute to the overall employee engagement of our workforce in the Americas. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong innovation and analytics skills, a deep knowledge of benefits and pension programs, strong M&A and project management skills and the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You will lead the team of Benefits & Pension professionals across the Americas, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning, and on mentoring and coaching your team members effectively.

  • You develop and execute a comprehensive benefits & pension strategy for the Americas Region, with full responsibility (end-to-end) for the benefits portfolio, taking in to account local regulations, market trends, and the needs of diverse employee populations.

  • You will drive innovation in benefits design and delivery, exploring new technologies, vendors, and program offerings to enhance employee experience and drive engagement.

  • You will establish strong relations with Business Leaders and key decision-makers while maintaining a strong external network to stay ahead of market trends and country regulatory changes.

  • You collaborate closely with the Head of TR Regions Americas, the Head of Mobility Americas and the Global Benefits and Pension team for the regional benefits & pension strategy development and to leverage synergies across regions.

  • You lead and coordinate regional benefits & pension governance activities and policies related management, and you will be overseeing relevant committees in close alignment with local and global stakeholders.

  • You oversee relationships with benefits vendors, including insurers, retirement plan providers, and wellness program partners and negotiate contracts and service level agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality of services (for those on zone/regional level)

  • You lead and coordinate M&A activities in the region, supporting due diligence and acquisitions as well as integrations and divestments (if applicable)

  • You keep up to date with local and regional legislation and regulations related to employee benefits, ensuring all programs are compliant.

  • You will provide training and support to HR teams and local managers to ensure they can effectively communicate benefits information to employees and address their questions and concerns.

  • You develop and manage the benefits budget for your region, ensuring cost-effective and sustainable benefit programs.

  • You serve as a primary point of contact for regional HR and Finance leadership, as well as Zone Leadership for benefit topics.

  • You collaborate with counterparts in other regions to ensure global alignment and consistency in benefits programs and policies.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., IEBA, Int. Ben. Foundation) is a plus.

  • You have extensive experience in benefits and pension management, preferably in a multinational organization with exposure to North America region-specific benefits.

  • You have in-depth knowledge of North America benefits regulations and market practices.

  • You have strong project management and vendor management skills.
