Head Men's And Women's Track And Field Coach

Wiley University is seeking a qualified candidate with qualifications including a degree in an appropriate discipline, college coaching and/or playing experience, proven integrity, leadership skills, and ability to motivate.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Recruits students and student athlete as required.

• Schedules season within policies and guidelines of the Athletic Department.

• Devises and conducts plans for athletic events so as to acquire maximum effort from student athletes during athletic events.

• Responsible for emergency treatment of athletic injuries as needed.

• Monitor student athlete academic program according to the established schedule.

• Maintain the programs' operating budget.

• Responsible for specific recruitment efforts and organization of special on-campus projects.

• Visit secondary schools and community colleges to counsel with prospective students and school officials.

• Serve on various committees as assigned by the President and Director of Athletics.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education with previous experience as a coach or assistant coach at the high school or collegiate level. Excellent communication and computer skills required. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
