PAY: $22-$25/hour based on experience

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE A HEAD HOSTESS / HOST:
- Previous Host experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant- Head Host/Head Maitre Experience a PLUS
- Experience with multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Skilled in providing excellent customer service and hospitality
- Excellent knowledge of and experience with OpenTable required
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to stay calm and provide actionable solutions to problems under pressure, to diffuse tense situations, and to resolve interpersonal conflict
- Superior communication skills required
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds, as needed
- Capable of continuous bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and use of hands and arms
- Flexibility to adapt to a constantly changing environment and set of challenges
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others
- Basic math and computer skills, including data entry and familiarity with point of sale (POS) software
- Available to work "high-volume" shifts- weekend availability a MUST
WHAT OUR HEAD HOSTESS / HOST DOES:
- Maintains and updates the seating chart, including making reservations, keeping track of available tables, and managing waiting lists in coordination with kitchen and serving staff
- Guides opening and closing of the restaurant in cooperation with the Chef and Back-of-House manager
- Assists with training and developing team members on hospitality, company best practices, reservation coordination and use of OpenTable
- Manage and monitor the restaurants reservation system using Open Table
- Answer the restaurant phone and provide friendly service for all guests and stakeholders
- Dedicates themselves to learning our menu and operations
- Plays a vital role in the success of a restaurant by creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests
- Keeps waiting areas clean and organized and ensures that waiting customers are comfortable
- Greets guests who arrive for takeout orders and coordinates delivery orders with staff drivers and mobile food delivery services
- Assist guests in making reservations
- Respond to guest requests and inquires in a timely and friendly manner
- Support the service staff by removing dishes and glasses from tables or counters and taking them to the dish room
- Assist with setting up dining areas to prepare for large parties and brunch buffet
- Perform duties, such as sweeping, vacuuming carpet, tidying up server station, taking out trash, and checking the bathroom(s)
- Other important tasks, as assigned, that keep all our guest operations running smoothly
- Ensures guests have a pleasant, welcoming, and memorable dining experience
- Resolves conflicts or addresses or works to prevent guest disappointments
