Head Basketball Coaching Experience Preferred.

Coaching: The head basketball coach is responsible for leading and coaching the school's basketball program. This involves developing and implementing effective training programs, practices, working closely with assistants and pee wee coaches to develop and grow players, and game strategies to ensure the team performs at its best.

Player development: The head coach is responsible for the development of individual players, identifying their strengths and weaknesses, and providing guidance and feedback to help them improve their skills.

Team management: The coach is responsible for the management and supervision of the team, including organizing team events, setting team rules and expectations, and maintaining a positive team culture.

Game preparation: The coach is responsible for analyzing the opponent's strengths and weaknesses and developing strategies to win games. This includes developing game plans, making in-game adjustments, and motivating the team.

Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers to ensure academic growth and success, with other coaches, scheduling, etc.

Communication: The head coach must maintain open lines of communication with players, assistant coaches, school administration, parents, and the community. This includes providing regular updates on the team's progress, addressing concerns, and responding to questions.

Supervision: The head coach must provide supervision for practices and games, ensuring the safety and well-being of players.

Budget management: The head coach may be responsible for managing the team's budget, including purchasing equipment, uniforms, and arranging team travel.

Professional development: The coach may be expected to attend professional development workshops and conferences to stay up-to-date on the latest coaching/teaching techniques and strategies.

Role model: The head coach is expected to act as a positive role model for players, demonstrating good sportsmanship, leadership, and ethical behavior both on and off the court.

CDL is a plus.
