What is the opportunity?

You will grow our business by setting and managing the strategic direction of recruiting and onboarding talented Financial Advisors at U.S. Wealth Management. You will work closely with the President, senior leaders, division, complex and branch management along with functional teams to obtain results. You will manage a team of professionals and use tools and resources to adhere to regulatory, firm, complex and branch procedures and minimize risk.

What will you do?

  • Drive strategic direction by developing annual and long-term strategies and execution plans, telling the RBC story in relation to competitors, and presenting frequently at various divisional and nationwide sales meetings to help the field understand the key strategies to recruit.

  • Regularly attend and present at industry roundtables and forums to represent RBC.

  • Oversee the recruitment leadership, training and consulting expertise to branch offices to achieve RBC diversity goals, provide a standardized selection process, and ensure new hires are consistent with RBC values, standards and expectations.

  • Consult with field management on unique candidates and meet with key candidates.

  • Sponsor the creation of a dashboard of metrics and key performance indicators to ensure we achieve our goals and enable Senior Management to make informed decisions.

  • Partner with Finance to provide direction for the annual budget and ongoing financial review of business line results.

  • Partner with Strategic Compensation to develop strategies, programs, and initiatives that further the effectiveness of our recruiting and succession efforts.

  • Manage and develop your team and ensure they understand RBC vision, as well as support and reinforce targeted behaviors that contribute to RBC goals.

What do you need to succeed?


  • Degree from an accredited university in Finance, Business, Economics or related experience.

  • 10+ years of progressive business experience, responsible for management of various types of businesses in the securities industry, along with 7+ year of demonstrated people management experience.

  • Proven ability to successfully set strategic direction and communicate it among constituents.

  • Advanced interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Collaborative approach with all business interactions designed to achieve results.


  • Advanced degree (i.e. MBA) from an accredited university

  • Series 7 and 63/66 licenses

  • Recruiting experience
