Brief Description of the Organization
CBNA is the primary legal entity for Citi, providing products and services to consumers, financial institutions and corporate clients around the world.In the past, Citi has provided most of its internal reporting on a business by business basis.With the changes in the regulatory environment, strong legal entity reporting and governance has become essential.This team is responsible for ensuring that CBNA has the appropriate governance and control infrastructure to meet the demand for legal entity planning, execution, information management and the ever-evolving regulatory environment.
Description of the Position
This role will lead Family Office Advisory in the Private Bank. The role will be primarily to work with the Private Bank constituency and stakeholder group in North America, but will include a role to scale and globalize that content throughout the wider CPB franchise.
Lead the Family Office Advisory Franchise at Citi Private Bank, with a particular emphasis on the North American Region where CPB has a market leading franchise.
Develop and build our strategy to curate the Family Office client community
Develop our content, research and events to maintain a market leading position as an advisory partner to Family Office clients
Work with Product partners to center our research and content around areas of core competence for Citi, creating 'touch points' for coverage and product partners to monetize our Advisory platform
Be a face for the Family Office segment both internally and externally
Recognized by the Banker community as a subject matter expert that has instant credibility with the client community.
Work closely with the Chairman of Family Office to build the skill set of the wider client facing team that engages with this segment
Across ICG we see a clear opportunity to grow our wallet share and acquire new clients in the Family Office space.
The global nature of our resources, and the integration of CPB within ICG make our platform enduringly competitive in this client segment.
As a result CPB is already a world class provider of services to this client community with more than 1500 FO clients globally, North America is the largest part of this franchise and has a long history of advice led engagement.
Delivering world class content, events and research is a central part of Citi's strategy to be the best bank for Family Office clients. Citi has a deep culture of leading with content, research and advice to engage this client community.
Covering a key and fast growing segment the stakeholder group for the role will be wide and diverse. An ability to drive a strong, collegiate partnership between the businesses, product partners and the Family Office Advisory Group will be essential.
In particular the following will be important:
Immediately identifiable as a credible subject matter expert in the Family Office field.
Working in close partnership with the existing Regional Management team, GMMs, IC heads, Solutions Sales, Capital Markets desks, Investment Finance, Banking, Custody, Trust and other Product partners. Success driven by being a trusted partner that brings success for the whole NAM team.
Setting out a clear vision and business plan for bringing together our Family Office strategy, especially around content, events, research and build the knowledge base amongst the wider coverage teams.
Setting out a clear business development plan, using a client engagement strategy to increase frequency of client engagement, quality of client engagement and opportunities to attract new clients to the firm
Support banker teams and product partners as a client facing resource and subject matter expert.
Credibility with and a strong network within the Family Office client community will be essential from day one.
Close coordination and a seem-less partnership with the Private Capital
Close coordination with the rest of the Institutional Clients Group, representing CPB with this crucial stakeholder group.
Maintaining and growing a disciplined client data universe with regular strategic reviews with key business partners.
Inspire with wider coverage team by sharing success and best practice, leading by influence and example.
Measuring success supporting bankers with
New Client Acquisition, increasing client engagement frequency and building the focused data set of client connections and prospects in the Family Office community.

Extensive experience of operating with sophisticated Family Offices with diverse needs
Immediate credibility as a subject matter expert with an in depth knowledge of the themes and trends in the Family Office community.
Extensive Knowledge of driving an effective, collaborative culture in a complex organization.
Language skills in addition to English are beneficial but not essential
