Head Custodian III

Requirements / Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent and three (3) years of responsible custodial work, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory or lead capacity. This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) Full-Time position working eight (8) hours per day, twelve (12) months per year.

A valid Class C California Driver License. An automobile to be used in the course of work that meets the current legal requirements for vehicle operation in the State of California, including proof of insurance.

This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) full-time position working 8 hours per day, 12 months per year. Under the general direction of the Principal; plans, directs, supervises and participates in the building and grounds custodial operations at an assigned facility to provide a clean, comfortable, and safe environment; and performs related duties as assigned.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS Positions in this class are responsible for providing and supervising custodial services and minor building maintenance for a school plant. This position is assigned to a High School. A Head Custodian III supervises employees working on the same shift, as well as those working on a different shift.
