Each Member identifies and supports a cohort of 10 high need students. A baseline assessment is administered at the beginning of the year to determine the functional grade level students are achieving in Math and English Language Arts. Based on the assessments, AmeriCorps Members develop an individualized learning plan for each student to ensure students move up a minimum of one functional grade level by the end of the school year.
