Essential Job Functions:

  • Promote and maintain efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.

  • Supervise and monitor the front-end managers, computer room operators, cashier, courtesy clerks, and Gas-n-Go.

  • Coordinate pickup lanes and maintain security of safe and change fund and oversee safe counts and the weekly safe report.

  • Be knowledgeable of, enforce, and be accountable for security policies and procedures for store safe. This includes safe combinations and keys as they are entrusted to you.

  • Oversee cash pickups and deposits and ensure they are properly handled, as well as voids and refunds.

  • Oversee check cashing procedures and ensure they are handled properly.

  • Monitor and promote Valucard policies

  • Prepare schedules for front end associates on a weekly basis ensuring they are posted by company deadline. Enforce and schedule all proper breaks as well.

  • Enforce all front-end policies and procedures including dress code, attendance, etc.

  • Maintain all supplies for front end, as well as candy and tobacco products.

  • Monitor over/short and make sure the proper managers are notified of issues and disciplinary action is taken when required.

  • Know, follow, and enforce all state and local laws, as well as company policies and procedures relating to alcohol and tobacco sales, lotto, WIC, charge accounts, debit, credit, EBT cards, and gift cards.

  • Follow and oversee proper procedures for selling money orders, money transfers, postage stamps, coin machines, hunting and fishing licenses, rentals, and promotional tickets.

  • Know, follow, and enforce all anti-money laundering (AML) policies and money service business (MSB) compliance.

  • Understand how to submit a completed weekly sales report

  • Any other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Previous management experience

  • Ability to conduct self in a professional manner

  • Maintain a strict level confidentiality with company and associate's information

  • Ability to communicate effectively to associates of all levels via verbal and written communication

  • Effective at training associates with varying learning styles

  • Must be Organized, Dependable, and Self-motivated

  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.

Maintain quality and freshness of product, well-stocked department and cleanliness of the sales and prep areas. Increase department sales with strong merchandising skills and creative displays. Serve as the leader for the department in all aspects of business and contribute to overall success of the store. Ensure that all policy and procedures are followed for the safety and security of our associates, our customers, and our company.</p><p>?</p><p>Essential Job Functions:</p><ul><li><p>Manage Starbucks department and associates to maximize sales and profitability by controlling product loss and promoting sales</p></li><li><p>Effectively manage, understand, and teach others company standards in regards to Starbucks department operations</p></li><li><p>Responsible for delegating workload of department fairly and evenly to Starbucks associates to ensure all company customer service expectations are met.</p></li><li><p>Provide exceptional service for customers through managing and communicating expectations for customer service with all associates, recruiting and selecting quality associates, and planning adequate coverage through scheduling</p></li><li><p>Preparing, bagging, pouring and stocking Starbucks products, rotating items to ensure product quality and safety.</p></li><li><p>Taking customer orders, ensuring orders are completed in a timely manner and to the customer's satisfaction</p></li><li><p>Maintaining a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow team members</p></li><li><p>Engage with customers through smiles and greetings, offering product information, providing selling suggestions and active sampling.</p></li><li><p>Process cash register transactions</p></li><li><p>Enforce proper food-handling procedures to ensure food safety as outlined in the company Food Safety program</p></li><li><p>Conduct weekly price changes and monitor accurate retail pricing for department</p></li><li><p>Maintain adequate inventory levels to incur few out-of-stocks, but with limited days' supply on hand to ensure freshness of product</p></li><li><p>Responsible for preparing and accurately conducting physical Starbucks inventory</p></li><li><p>Monitor all reclaim reports while ensuring all reclaim containers are closed out weekly for proper accounting during inventory cycles</p></li><li><p>Maintain a clean department according to company standards and utilize cleaning calendar</p></li><li><p>Inspect product deliveries and rotate product on a regular basis</p></li><li><p>Merchandise Starbucks department on a regular, daily basis per plan-o-grams.</p></li><li><p>Responsible for implementing and enforcing all marketing programs per company standard.</p></li><li><p>Communicate on a regular basis with the Store Manager and all Starbucks associates, providing them with instruction and information.</p></li><li><p>Schedule and provide Starbucks associates with all required department training, development of necessary skills, and areas of job responsibilities including computer based training.</p></li><li><p>Ensure continued training and skill development for associates to increase retention of quality associates</p></li><li><p>Complete weekly department projections</p></li><li><p>Control labor through proper scheduling based on weekly sales projections</p></li><li><p>Attend department head meetings as scheduled by Store Manager</p></li><li><p>Discuss department staffing needs weekly with Store Manager and Human Relations Coordinator.</p></li><li><p>Engage in recruiting, interviewing, selecting and training of all new Bakery/Deli associates to ensure the Best Team in Town.</p></li><li><p>Enforce and maintain all safety policies and procedures.</p></li><li><p>Prepare performance reviews and assist Store Manager in conducting yearly review process for Starbucks associates.</p></li><li><p>Must listen to and resolve complaints or issues brought to the attention of the management team from supervision, associates, and customers</p></li><li><p>Understand and enforce all local and state health department rules and practices as well as federal OSHA guidelines and company HACCP policy</p></li><li><p>Responsible for participation in, follow up, and compliance of all Planned Period Visits (PPV) and mandatory Starbucks compliance procedures.</p></li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>Must be 18 years of age or older</p></li><li><p>High School Graduate, with college preferred</p></li><li><p>Three to five years' experience in retail and/or Starbucks operations, operating as an assistant Starbucks manager for at least one year</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of how to mix various Starbucks coffee and tea products</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of the ingredients that go into various products</p></li><li><p>Work with various Starbucks ingredients including various coffees, teas, spices, nuts, flavorings, sauces, and oils.</p></li><li><p>Additional seminar/class training in leadership, employee and customer relations helpful</p></li><li><p>Completion of Starbucks All Store Training program</p></li><li><p>Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of
