DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set up and operate rule die presses in Dept. 170.
This is a 2nd shift position. Work schedule is as follows:
Monday-Thursday 2:20 pm
Friday 2:20 pm
1.Ability to set up and operate Traveling Head, Preco, Beam Press, Punch Press, Rollups machine including operating hoist to load/unload rule die into the press.
2.Able to clear, inspect, and package blanked parts per packaging spec information sheet.
3.Able to read and understand operating instructions such as bill of materials, routings, work instructions, and other shop paperwork.
4.Able to move materials to shipping lanes with the use of a hand truck.
5.Able to identify process, material and equipment problems.
6.Be certified or be able to become certified in SPC, first article checks and final audits.
7.Able to perform simple arithmetic calculations to change machine settings.
8.Interpersonal skill necessary to exchange information with a variety of staff.
9.Ability to recognize and react to unsafe behaviors and conditions.
10. Follow EHS rules and regulations and promptly report injuries.
11. Ability to maintain a clean and orderly work area.
12. Understand FMPS and lean manufacturing concepts and the importance of the line status boards.
13. Willing and able to cross train in other departments within the Value Stream.
14. Perform related duties and assignments that are consistent with knowledge and training.
1.Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to forty pounds on a daily basis.
2.Ability to walk and move about, stoop and bend, and climb (ascend and descend) ladders.
3.Ability to stand for a 12-hour shift.
4.Ability to reach and grab with arms and hands, and manual dexterity to operate machines with precision.
5.Normal or corrected vision necessary to read directions and closely examine parts; and to distinguish colors.
6.Normal hearing in order to detect equipment and motor malfunctions.
7.Ability to pull, lift and transport products to and from various locations within the assigned location.
1.Works in areas that can be uncomfortable due to noise, odors, and temperature extremes.
