EMPLOYMENT TERMS: Full-time position.

PRIMARY DUTY: The Head Baseball Coach will be responsible for providing complete leadership to the baseball program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage and direct all aspects of the baseball program including on the field coaching

  • Is responsible for the recruitment of all team members

  • Administer all aspects of the baseball program including scholarship allocation, budget management, team transportation, conditioning, equipment care, and academic monitoring

  • Supervise and direct Assistant Coach(es) and Graduate Assistant

  • Assist the Director of Athletics with preparation of budget and scheduling

  • Engage in fundraising activities as assigned

  • Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's degree.

Certification/License: CPR certified every year.            

Experience: Coaching on the collegiate level.

Skills: Technical skills in the coaching of baseball.WORKING CONDITIONS:

 This position must work and travel nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary. This position must purchase and maintain a cellular device and service that will be used for work functions. This position must be responsible for plan choices, calling areas, service features, terminations clauses, and paying for all charges associated with the cellular device and service.         

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise and direct assistant coach(es) and graduate assistants           

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
