We take pride in providing certified athletic trainers to our local high schools; Sports Performance programs to a variety of clients - middle school, high school, elite and Pro clientele; educational seminars to local service organizations and our professionals; and donations/volunteer ship to other charitable organizations. And we are looking for a newHEAD ATHLETIC TRAINER to join our growing family!

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Athletic Training services at our biggest contracted shcools
  • Scheduling all other SporTherapy Athletic Trainers at other schools/other contracts
  • Marketing and assigning team physicians
  • Marketing to Sports Physicians, quarterly
  • Marketing and promoting targeted schools
  • Communications to all area schools, quarterly
  • Responsible for invoicing/billing of schools with APS
  • Documentation and tracking of referrals/athlete numbers
  • Assist in program development in Sports Performance with our CSCS Lead SD

Requirements

  • 1-6 years of experience
  • Prior physical therapy clinical/exposure or work is preferred
  • CSCS required, MS not required but is a plus!
  • Must be outgoing, able to take initiative with responsibilities
  • Ability to promote SporTherapy services

VIEW JOBS 4/4/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-03T00:00 Job Details The primary role of the Ortho/Sports Medicine Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) is to work in the role of a physician extender. The role of the Athletic Trainer will be to increase the availability, visibility and patient volume for the Cook Children's Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Team. This will be accomplished by both working closely with the physician in clinic to provide care to our active patient population. Additionally, the role would include interfacing with the community (recreational sports, middle schools, high schools, and private select sports clubs) to bring more awareness and access to Cook Children's Sports Medicine. QUALIFICATIONS: * BA or BS from accredited institution. * Minimum 2 years working as an ATC with children, adolescents and young adults. * Prefer experience working in a pediatric orthopedic clinic providing direct patient care. * Experience with EPIC or similar EMR preferred. * Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Bi-lingual preferred.
