This role is an entry level product management position. This role will work with a lead product manager and share the responsibility for delivering a new HDD product to the Market. The candidate for this role will be able to contribute to all aspects of product management and interact with many teams inside of western digital.


  • HDD products are used by some of the largest enterprise customers in the world.

  • This position will immerse the candidate in the enterprise storage world and help them understand the market and major customers.

  • The ideal candidate for this role is:

  • Someone who has technical background and wants to make the transition to a business role.


  • Technical background in software or engineering or equivalent.

  • 2-3 years experience working in a technical field

  • Demonstrated interest in business and/or product definition.

The ideal candidate for this role is:

  • A self starter and willing to learn.

  • An individual who is targeting a career in product management.

  • This role has a growth path to a lead product management position.

About you: * Recognized industry leader for team and people management skills, ability to mentor and lead teams to achieve results for complex, ambiguous projects. * Recognized industry leader for skills in cost efficient solution building, financial performance metric creation and analysis. * Recognized industry leader for knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection. * Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry and ability to provide product specific technical training to the team.
