This position serves as the tier one technical point of contact and assists users and subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, basic report writing, basic issue troubleshooting, and system access requests.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews all HCMS related tickets in Service Now and resolves tier one issues.

  • Works with HCM Systems Analysts to route tier 2 issues to the appropriate resource.

  • Provide technical support to end users for tier one issues like password resets, access requests, and supervisory organization changes.

  • Communicates, educates and enforces business process rules and policies as needed.

  • Perform analysis into root cause of problems and resolve as appropriate.

  • Communicates, educates and enforces business process rules and policies as needed. Assists HCM Systems Analysts in documenting requirements and configuration changes.

  • Develops basic Workday reports focused on core data requests. Document and track requests and product defects, manage issues resolution and coordinate problem resolution with the appropriate HCM Systems Analyst.

  • Runs regular data audit reports and shares output with appropriate HCM Systems Analyst, HR Director, or HR/Payroll functional area for completion.

  • Support the development and planning of new HR systems and/or enhancements. Assists in development of documentation, updating current documentation.

  • Under direction from HCM Systems Analyst, assists in development of test scripts for system changes or implementations.

  • Under direction from HCM Systems Analyst and/or Sr. Director, participates on small to medium size projects to perform project duties as assigned such as documentation of system requirements, design documents, and training documentation.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Sitting for up to 7 hours per day, 3 hours at a time, frequently uses fingers for typing, data entry, etc. Frequent use of hands; uses upper extremities to rarely lift up to 10 pounds. Occasionally stoops, bends or reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation, seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, peripheral vision, and visual monotony.

EDUCATION:

Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Two + years' exposure to Human Resources functions. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Must demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive, confidential situations, and an ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization. Requires effective organization and time management skills, the ability to multi-task, and work independently.

Responsible for the oversight of contract loading and testing for accuracy of reimbursement. Understanding contract language and working closely with our contract negotiation group as well as our payors. Responsible for the education and training of this system and the overall accuracy of the data. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Responsible for the oversight of Contract Loading and Auditing for accuracy of each contract loaded into our Contract Management System. Responsible for the over all testing of each contract loaded into the Contract System. * Responsible for the documentation, education and training of the Contract Management System for the Business Office Staff. * Oversees various analysis reports, working directly with third party mangers to identify source of variations within the contract and ensuring action resolves and elements variation error going forward. Support Business Office Staff on resolution of cases related to over/under or improper reimbursement. * Works with our contract negotiator on contract related issues that have led to incorrect reimbursement. * Works directly with insurance carriers thru various methods of communications to address contract related issues. * Responsible to balance the Contract System daily with our Host System. Analyzes exception reports do identify reason accounts fail to pass appropriate allowances or import into the Contract System. * Responsible to generate payer reports for contract analysis and payment accuracy. Assist with the ongoing review of third party contracts for inconsistencies amongst contracts, reimbursement maximization opportunities, etc. * Works with Systems Director, Contract Management Team in resolving system problems; coordinates special projects to ensure continuity of workflow for the Revenue Cycle. In the absence of the Systems Director holds accountability to ensure systems operability. * Maintains knowledge of insurance carrier's guidelines as it relates to compliance and reimbursement. * Performs duties with a minimum of supervision, exhibits independence and good judgment. PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Requires walking for up to 8 hours per day, 4 hours at a time; standing for up to 8 hours per day, 4 hours at a time; sitting for up to 8 hours per day, 4 hours at a time. Frequent fingering, handling and twisting and turning. Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull and hold approximately 30 pounds. Occasional reaching above shoulder level, bending, crouching, climbing stairs and ladders up to 30 feet and climbing stairs. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to normal vision, perceiving objects, scenery and print. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: Degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent preferred. Or, commensurate experience in Hospital Revenue Cycle Management. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Five to seven years of experience in hospital automated billing environment or other systems environment. Hands on experience in systems implementation and project management. Extensive PC skills required. WORK SCHEDULE: Full time hours as scheduled.
