LOCATION:

Fargo, ND (preferred), Grand Forks, ND or Remote.

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT:

This is a full-time, 12-month, benefited position in the 3000 broadband, exempt from FLSA (not overtime eligible).

SALARY:

$65,000 minimum annual salary based upon level of preparation and experience plus a competitive benefit package including a generous retirement plan and employer paid family health insurance.

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Lead Programmer Analyst, the Programmer Analyst provides customer support for HCM responsibilities of developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving NDUS enterprise resource planning and/or ancillary information systems. This position's function is to solve problems with ERP solutions; perform support, maintenance, and testing functions; and document work within PeopleSoft and ancillary systems, including but not limited, to the Financials/Human Capital Management/Campus Solutions applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, IS or closely related field.

  • At least 3 years of related work experience with application programming, application design/analysis and debugging.

  • Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining relational databases such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, or other relational databases.

  • Working experience in object-oriented programming languages, such as C, Visual Basic, or Java.

  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in timelines and sequences.

  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form with technical and non-technical staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with PeopleSoft Peopletools (SQR, PeopleCode, Application Designer, Application Engine, PS Security, Integration Broker, Process Scheduler, BI Publisher).

  • Web interface design and development experience.

  • Experience with XML, JSON or related languages.

  • General understanding/experience with Human Capital Management system processes and practices.

  • Experience implementing Web Services, RESTFUL, or SOAP, as well as experience writing fault-tolerant code.
