This role will be part of the Film Programming group within Business Affairs and reporting to the VP, Film Programming.
Write evaluations for acquired programs produced by international HBO networks that are airing on HBO/MAX in the US
Determine appropriate content advisories by reviewing major studio and other acquired film programming
Screen and evaluate library submissions for library deal negotiations
Attend NYC agency screenings and write evaluations of select independent film acquisition candidates
Scout, research and provide recommendations in preparation for film festivals
Assist with ad hoc department projects as needed
Bachelor degree required
Outstanding critical thinking and writing skills required
Ability to communicate effectively with agents, distributors, and other executives, inside and outside of HBO
Flexible and able to work independently, as well as in a team environment
Ability to multi-task and prioritize a high volume of work
Must have discretion and the ability to work with highly confidential matters
Prior film industry experience strongly preferred. Extensive film knowledge/passion is essential.
Spanish language skills preferred
