The Hazardous Waste Disposal Coordinator is the internal point of contact for external disposal service providers across the Company. Known internally as the Outbound Disposal Coordinator. this person is responsible for handling internal requests for placement of wastes to third party disposal sites, managing waste routing throughout the network, and performing all tasks relative to new vendor set up.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures health and safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.

  • Learn more about the Environmental Services market by working with our approved external disposal service providers

  • Serve as an internal point of contact for general information pertaining to third party disposal sites, including waste acceptance criteria and capabilities; profiling requirements; and pricing.

  • Help implement operational strategies related to waste routing and disposal

  • Participate in the management of the Intercompany & Outbound profile database, creating new profiles as needed. Educate and train facility operations to ensure correct profiles are being used.

  • Responsible for approving and maintaining third party profiles in all relevant systems. Works with the field and the central departments to coordinate and execute third party disposal approval requests.

  • Other projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years industry/regulations experience required.

  • Knowledge of RCRA and DOT regulations/laws required.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

VIEW JOBS 11/7/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-05T00:00 The Central Logistics Coordinator is responsible for reducing Clean Harbors outside transportation expense by utilizing low cost vendors and coordinating efficient transportation routing. Coordinators oversee the management of the central logistics Winweb systems. RESPONSIBILITIES * Manage timely movement of waste pickups to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. * Daily communication with field operations including national transportation terminal managers. * Develop and maintain logistics schedules. Schedules are to be completed 1 week in advance with the designated TTT, plant or field representatives. * Coordination or rail / marine shipments and collection all required paperwork * Daily compliance and real time use of the Winweb System. This includes electronic shipping in the Hub Management systems and or in the Logistics Workbench. Electronic shipping must be real time. * Purchase order verification through Hub Management systems or through the Logistics Workbench. * Ensure the shipping lanes match the negotiated rate and that the vendor has correctly submitted the information through our electronic system. * Maintenance and payment of the rail and marine invoices. * Coordination of efficient routing. Responsible for directing the hubs / plants and field operations to properly load and ship in the most cost-effective manner. * Approval of subcontracted transportation and administration / approval of Peoplesoft PO's. * Strong customer service performance. Ensure field has all transportation needs covered. * Build strong vendor relations. * Obtain subcontracted transportation rates for all business units within Clean Harbors. Communicate rates and schedules in timely fashion to requestor. REQUIREMENTS * High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred. * 0-2 years' experience in transportation and hazardous materials * Ability to generate reports through computer systems. * Knowledge of Clean Harbors operations. * Strong organization and communication skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Requires near acuity, speaking and listening. * Requires sitting, standing, walking, grasping and reaching. * Requires lifting, pulling and or pushing, carrying, stooping and crouching and color determination. Employment is contingent upon a successful background check and drug screen. Some positions also require a pre-hire medical exam. Must meet all work eligibility requirements.
