Job Summary:
Community Assistants (CAs) provide quality customer service while maintaining the safety, security and confidentiality of our students in our Residence Halls. CAs are a resource to our on-campus student residents and assist in building hall communities.
Full Job Description:
The Community Assistant (CA) staffs the residence hall front desk and is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the residents, as well as, providing a high level of customer service. The CA will work a minimum of 8 hours per week to be considered a SHaRE employee.
The CA can work no more than 20-25 hours per week when school is in session, depending on if the student is domestic or international. During Intersession and other breaks when school is not in session, CAs may work up to 35 hours per week. CAs are required to work during Winter Break/Intersession and holidays.
New Community Assistants (CAs) working day shifts (8 AM- 12 Midnight) and Mail Clerks are paid an hourly base rate of minimum wage. Those working night shifts (12 Midnight- 8 AM) are paid a higher hourly rate, which is $0.50 higher than their day rate.
