Hardware Test Engineer With Strong EE Background To Launch Your Career!

The Talent Mine is recruiting for 3 Sr. level Hardware Test engineers with a strong background in automation and environmental testing for immediate contract to hire roles.   This is with a very well known / reputed player in the aerospace industry, and they are hiring due to a push to deliver on a new R&D project!

If you are the kind of hardware test engineer that has Electrical Engineering sensibilities (and/or degree), LOVES pushing hardware to the extreme from a QA standpoint, and can make LabVIEW "sing", then read on!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop test plans, procedures, and scripts to perform shock, vibration, thermal, humidity and vacuum testing on high and low voltage flight hardware.
• Conduct verification testing that includes power-on, functional, acceptance and qualification and document test results for the high and low voltage distribution, power regulation and conversion hardware.
• Support the integration of vehicle hardware and analysis tooling necessary to verify the requirements and performance of units under test.
• Debug and troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a lab environment.
• Support integration and test activities including wiring, hardware installation, and test bench setup.
• Participate in design and system reviews to provide feedback on integration and testability throughout all phases of the project.
• Participate in program level technology development, mission assurance and safety initiatives, and development process improvements.
• Effectively communicate development status, risks, and challenges to management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
• 5+ years of relevant experience as a hardware test engineer, specifically in electronics hardware development such as testing high voltage switching, high voltage and power regulation, or other advanced electronic commercial or aerospace products
• Experience with analog, digital or mixed-signal circuit design, including analysis, simulation, test, troubleshooting, and part selection
• Knowledge of signal integrity, power, grounding, and general board layout principles
• Experience developing special electronic test equipment and troubleshooting equipment
• Proficient in the use of standard electronic lab tests and troubleshooting equipment
• Experience with programming in C++ and/or Python (BONUS)
• NI LabVIEW / TestStand experience
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Bonus Qualifications:

• M.S. degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline
• 7+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with the development and execution of a large-scale verification of avionics on autonomous spaceflight systems
• Experience supporting testbeds for spaceflight systems
• Electrical Design and Analysis tools: LTSpice, PSpice, SIMetrix/SIMPLIS, Simscape
