PROLIM Global Corporation is currently seeking Hardware /RF Systems Architect for location Houston, TX for one of our Top client.

Experience Required:
Must have 8+ years of experience in modem design, Microwave hardware systems and telecommunications is required. Full end 2 end architecture
Should have experience with Provigent / Broadcom chipsets highly desirable. Analog, mixed signal and/or RF Design, Ethernet Protocols such as SyncE and 1588 are all also desirable.


Oversee design and implementation of custom hardware utilizing leading edge broadband wireless technology
Define hardware requirements and specifications
Provide FPGA programming support (Altera)
Review schematics and be capable of understanding VHDL/Verilog based designs.
Working knowledge of lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
Work closely with Software Design, Manufacturing, and Quality to identify and fix system level issues.
Work well with others and be able to mentor and guide junior engineers
Be able to work independently and proactively initiate and follow through with improvements to our products and processes.
Attend and participate in project specification and design reviews in compliance with the Company's ISO9001 Quality System.

Matlab or similar, VHDL/Verilog programming language, FPGA/CPLD design flow, and relevant simulation tools.

Linux and C programming skills a plus. In depth knowledge of telecommunications concepts is required. Must have excellent troubleshooting skills.

Education: BSEE required, Graduate Degree Preferred

Physical: Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time.
