Hardware Design Engineer Summer Intern

We are looking for students who are interested in gaining real-world experience in this dynamic environment.
As a team member, you'll share in the satisfaction of delivering industry-leading products and solutions that help provide our customers with state-of-the-art control systems. As an intern, you will be part of a hardware team that assists with new product developments and supports efforts to address field, manufacturing, and obsolescence issues. Many of the assignments will involve opportunities for hands-on interaction with PACSystems RX3i equipment including prototype validation, test fixture construction, and electromagnetic compliance (EMC) noise testing.
The HARDWARE DESIGN ENGINEER Summer Intern will work with senior Emerson Technology team mentors and industry experts to:
Lead one or more projects that will be started and completed during the internship term.
Work with advanced diagnostic equipment to help validate new prototype designs.
Assist in setting up and conducting EMC tests.
Provide engineering support to other departments.
Present to the team periodically and at the end of the internship.
Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university entering either the junior, senior, or graduate year.
Pursing Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 3.0 GPA.
Completion of Circuit Theory course
Experience and interest in programming, including C , C#, Java, LabView, VHDL code
Previous internship experience a plus.
Courses in hardware architecture, digital electronics, electrical testing, hardware verification, failure analysis
Demonstrated leadership skills (served in leadership role in student organization, for example).
