Job Summary

As a member of the hardware sustaining team, the engineer will participate in the support of hardware platforms throughout the products life. This includes both root cause analysis of field issues as well as the qualification of 2nd source and EOL parts/components. Opportunities to participate in development and validation of new products is also available.

This position requires an individual to be creative, a quick learner, driven to produce results and demonstrates the ability to lead small teams or projects.

Job Requirements

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Experience in digital design, system debug, and verification.

  • Responsibilities include: design, development, validation, and debug of HW modules and systems.

  • Provides technical support to marketing, sales, operations, and design partners throughout the life of the product.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of engineers to meet aggressive goals and high-quality standards.

  • Comfortable with change and dynamic nature of high-tech development environment.

  • Ability to evaluate product designs for technical feasibility and follow standard engineering principles to meet rigorous design standards.

  • Ability to diagnose issues within x86 design schematics to discover root cause of hardware issues.

  • Experienced with PCI 3 and newer design.

  • A strong digital design background and debugging experience in high-speed interfaces, processor and chipsets, memory, PCIe, and networking interfaces is a plus.

  • This individual must work effectively with staff to senior manager level employees within the function and the technical team on assigned projects. There may be communication with employees in other functions within the Business Units as required.

  • Limited management direction is provided to employee on new projects or assignment; as well as review of activities and priorities.

  • The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert on team projects.

  • To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through coaching and influencing others.

  • This individual is able to successfully convey information to stakeholders at many levels related to the position.

  • Required to work independently.

Education

  • BSEE or BSCE with 5+ years' experience; MSEE or MSCE with 3+ years' experience; or equivalent.

  • Less experienced candidates may also be considered.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is 122500 - 172200 and will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
